Personally I think the tuba is higher preforming actually, but the echo is more tuby sounding per se. My pick is the tuba but the echo is a super solid offering, in the us though I think itās around 700 which is a bit much. Also with the tuba you can drive high and low impedance headphones like the elex (but I prefer the elex on solid state for sure)
Nice that you have a choice.
It seems you canāt go wrong with either of them.
itĀ“s very suspicious ā¦ I could call out a name ā¦ this setup(Luminare, CMA400i, xCAN) seems so super familiar to me hahaaa
yeahh the Echo is so tempting for us europeans over many other us products - just in budget terms
if I could simply decide between a Bottle Head Crack with speedball build and the Echo
Regarding that I think it comes to preference (and if you want to build an amp lol). The crack + speeball is a very energetic and tube heavy amp, where the echo is a bit more relaxed and refined
No, Iām not HIM and Iāve had the luminare a little longer than HE has.
yes this is the choice to make and I tend to the refined always - should I keep it this way or go this time for some complete other flavour
always imagined the āspecial tube soundā as heavy and holographic wideā¦ something in the way
Received the aeon 2 closed today. So far Iām enjoying them. Havenāt had much time but theyāre clean sounding using the thx 789 and q5s. The bass hits solid, vocals are pretty good, strings seem natural (will vary between tracks), highs are nice but not overly exaggerated/painful, soundstage is pretty good as well. If I remember correctly these are as wide if not wider (maybe closer to the same) than the last LCD-X I had. Poor tracks definitely sound poor on these imo. Had a little scare at first. By luck the very first song I listened to was James Taylor, Fire and Rain. These headphones pick up something in the song and cause the bass to rumble/buzz (not a good sound/doesnāt sound right) but itās just this song and when I tried another set of cans it was there but not as present. Iāve actually never noticed it before but A2C picks it up. Other than that song these have been really nice. Fun set of headphones so far. Love being able to have a more open sound in a close back and chill in bed and not disturb the wife haha. Oh and the vacuum cord that it comes with sucks! If I keep the same opinion of these Iāll have a 4.4mm cable on order real soon lol.
Something tells me when Z hears these hes gonna own them. Just a guess.
Who knows lol
Yeah he can be hit and miss with what he likes but he liked the Drop aeonā¦ And he was meh about the rnhp.
And the og aeon is def not as good as the aeon 2, the aeon 2 was leaps and bounds over the og aeon, I really disliked the aeon flow closed, but the aeon 2 closed gave me faith lol
You have any rumble/buzz in the sub bass with any tracks? And the track I had it with was 24/96, so good quality but poor recording I guess.
Like does it have good subbass? Yeah, yours are new correct?
I got them used but from headphones.com tested/review version. The sub bass sounds good in mine as well but wondering if you ever have any issue with certain tracks and the sub bass has an unpleasant rumble? Iāve only heard it one track so far.
Mine did that initially, but after they burned in for a few days it was all good (mrspeakers tends to have a sig burn in period)
I figured it was burn in related. Well I hoped. I havenāt tried any tuning pads, just plain and it sounds solid. I think I may like these more than the LCD-X. Might be because these are more comfortable haha.
I personally do, although it doesnāt replace the lcd 24 for me lol
Havenāt heard the lcd 24 but at $750 and beating the LCD-X imo, Iāll take it all day.
How do u feel about this vacuum cord they call a headphone cable? Lol
Itās fine lol, I donāt mind it
