It’s a totally opposite reaction to our opinions but I think Mark does keep it real when it comes to reviews. I think I do agree with his findings but I don’t agree with his subjective opinion, that’s for sure. I’ve heard many people say the Estrella sounds artificially resolute but I beg to differ. They have never sounded artificial to me.
I don’t know what kind of reviewer he is, but in most of his reviews there is not a single word about the technical part of IEM - nothing about dynamics, speed, transients, etc… Also, the comparisons he makes are lean and unfounded. And yes, his opinion is too subjective.

That is a fair assessment, his reviews are solely subjective for the most part but I guess that’s just his style.

Isn’t that the point of a reviewer? You learn what the reviewer enjoys and and what they prefer sound wise from an iem so that people with similar preferences can relate? I am pretty sure he made a video not long ago explaining how he is biased and has a preference to how an iem is tuned for his liking which is pretty transparent.
I don’t think most people coming into the hobby are interested in knowing about the technicality of an iem. They just want to know what will play their style of music how they like it.
