It seems to be true. Unlike DUNU Mirai, for example
The beauty with the “bad tuning” is already here.
Yep, the Campfire cables are bad, so bad that you wonder how it’s possible. The accessories too. And for the shells - I have no words, ugly, uglier, ugliest…
Has ALO done away with that wack wire that’s suppose to be the ear loop cut that shit out of all of mine leaving just the cable rapped around my ear, nice soft cable too
Yes, the cable of Grand Luna is amazing - soft, medium thick, flexible, no microphony, sweet color and great sound. It now has replaceable switches. I think 64 audio can only learn.
Pictures later, now I’m intoxicated by the sound.
Did you mean 64A? If not, I don’t understand your two last posts
I recently listened to 64 audio solo on a demo, mmm it doesn’t even come close to Grand Luna in terms of technicality and build quality. I’m saying this because Grand Luna was trashed before it even came out
Indeed but…
CA and I have the same blood type. Finally someone who can tune the IEM.
WTF bass GL?
A HeadFi norm isn’t so enamoured regarding GL…
The design is absolutely gorgeous. I love the colour gradient of the Campfire logo. They are pretty comfortable too.
But I’m sorry to say, they sound terrible to me. Within the first 10 seconds of listening, I was hit by a blob of warmth. While the bass is strong and extends well, it bleeds too heavily into the mids. The vocals sound muffled and pushed back into the mix, struggling to be heard amid the warmth. The recessed vocals makes the lower treble sound pronounced and a bit sharp (but not siblant or peaky). There isn’t really much treble extension or air to counterbalance the warmth. But at least there isn’t the Astrolith zing.
Overall, is this iem worth $1,399 USD? To me, it’s a strong no. It’s too much money for the poor technicalities. Any linsoul $300 chi fi iem released in the past 2 years will sound clearer.
$1.4k gets you a shit load of options including Alien Brain
Yes. There are many deaf people, including here . Technically they are gorgeous, but I will not do a review. Layering, images and stage are in my opinion even above the price! And for Chi Fi - definitely not the case, they still have a lot to learn from the Americans and no matter how much they copy them they do not achieve this level even with IEM for 2000 dollars. Alien Brain has good tonality, but nothing of what GL offers in terms of technical performance. The tuning is divine on the GL, but as always, it’s a matter of taste.
I recommend the guy from Head Fi who claims that GL has blurry bass to listen to this through a good source and find it with good file quality, not on YouTube! Then he’ll sing another song
" the concept of akasha
The Akashic Records are believed to be an ethereal archive containing the history of every soul, thought, emotion, and event in the universe — past, present, and potential futures. Rooted in the Sanskrit word Akasha, meaning “ether” or “sky,” they are often described as a universal consciousness or spiritual library that transcends time and space. Many spiritual traditions view the Records as a source of wisdom, guidance, and healing, accessible through deep meditation, intuition, or trained practitioners. People consult the Akashic Records to gain insight into their life purpose, resolve karmic patterns, or find clarity on challenges. Rather than a literal book or place, they are understood as an energetic field where all information is encoded and can be intuitively perceived by those attuned to it. The concept symbolizes humanity’s connection to a higher knowledge and the interwoven nature of all existence."
The Akashic Records have already been mentioned. When you buy an IEM, you should know that karma is also involved.
Otherwise, the idea is not bad. Good thing they thought of it.
" “Pendragon” is of Welsh origin and means “chief warlord” or “supreme leader”. It is literally composed of the words pen (“head”, “chief”, “supreme”) and dragon (“dragon”, “war leader”).
The most famous use of the word is as a nickname for Uther Pendragon, the father of the legendary King Arthur. In Arthurian legend, the title Pendragon is explained by the fact that Uther saw a comet in the shape of a dragon, which foretold his destiny as a high chieftain.
Although most often associated with Uther and King Arthur, in antiquity “pendragon” was a general term for the supreme military leader of the ancient Britons. Today the word is used mainly in fantasy literature, films and role-playing games. "
