Yes it does sound good for sure, but the differences are so marginal these days that it´s hard to claim one is so much better than the other.
I did not listen to many chifi sets to make any comparissons here but i can imagine that some of the Ziigaat offerings come very close while only charging 200 instead of 1200
Tuning aside Estrella for example was technically as impressive for me but then again i was not able to A/B and also did not demo Alien Brain for a very long time
This will be an interesting comparison - Estrella vs AB. If I have time I will do an A/B one of these days. I hadn’t listened to Estrella for a long time and tried it with CA DAC - it sounds open and more balanced without some sharp peaks. Incredible. It will be a tough battle between the two IEMs.

I choked while eating and listening to this with the GL and DC Elite… And no, the Estrella doesn’t do it no matter how good it is. The GL just has monstrous imaging and thunderous bass… and all this in an impressive stage.
AB also does very well, but it is not at the level of GL. If someone asks where I know this from - from my ears, from where else 
!
GL lacked dynamics and resolution - one piece of advice to those who say this: clean your ears and don’t expose yourself.
I also initially thought there’s “finally” a Chinese version but then realised it was the pinying spelling of Sonion… Their “translation team prob didnt know”

ALO have always made good but over priced cables imho but seriously their shite og wired ear hooks should’ve never seen the light of day 
This is the important bit… They’re just planar drivers, no magic here 
The magic is in the price of some IEMs that use them… I expect an IEM with such drivers to appear soon for at least $100,000. 
300 usd for a modular cable? oh boi
