Discussions, memes and sound impressions of @SE

STELLA is the culmination of three disciplines guided by a single pursuit of truth in sound:

  • Astell&Kern, representing the precision of modern engineering

  • VOLK Audio, defining the architecture of design and acoustic form

  • Michael Graves, the five-time GRAMMY Award–winning mastering engineer who understands the line between control and emotion

Built on a 12-driver quadbrid system with a 6-way crossover network and five precision sound tubes, STELLA unites four transducer technologies — dynamic, balanced armature, planar magnetic, and electrostatic, into one coherent acoustic architecture. Each component was developed for its distinct role and tuned through precise control of phase, pressure, and motion to achieve tonal accuracy, spatial coherence, and full-spectrum balance.

Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, combined with a stainless-steel faceplate frame and 9H sapphire crystal, the chassis reflects the same discipline that shapes its sound: nothing decorative, nothing redundant. Every contour, cavity, and vent exists to preserve acoustic integrity.

STELLA represents an unprecedented collaboration where engineering, design, and artistry converge into an instrument meticulously crafted for mastering-level precision yet deeply engaging for personal listening.

The Astell&Kern × VOLK Audio STELLA will be available for $3,900.

What’s this drama with the CP752B? You can just tell the community that it’s useless, dear.

Those round planars are like the first gen planars. really old by now. Tin Hifi P1 and some older ones from iirc ToneKing had them.

Well they have a picture of a patent to prove it so…:dotted_line_face:

In fact it is probably this oem.

That is a new look for sure. Curious if that also brings a new type of delivery.

**Description

Flagship High-Fidelity Single Dynamic Driver IEM**

Titanium-Coated Diaphragm · Tesla Magnetic System(Proprietary, In-House Patented Technologies· Professional-Grade Acoustic Architecture

The Founding Flagship · In This Moment, Only for Resonance

E1000 is the first greeting from Faith Audio Labs,
and the brand’s inaugural expression of its understanding of sound, its aesthetic philosophy,
and its exploration of engineering boundaries.

From the very beginning, we introduced the concept of passive desktop speakers into IEM design:
building the acoustic chamber with loudspeaker thinking, allowing the driver to perform freely within the most natural airflow and optimal chamber coupling.

10.2mm Full-Range Dynamic Driver
At the heart of E1000 lies a meticulously engineered 10.2mm full-range dynamic driver.

80+ Layer Dual-Sided Titanium-Coated Diaphragm
We crafted a golden diaphragm exclusively for it—
using a physical vacuum DC magnetron sputtering process to deposit more than
80 layers of titanium coating onto the base diaphragm.

This diaphragm is exceptionally light, yet remarkably strong:
light enough to capture the finest overtones of instruments,
and rigid enough to stabilize ultra-high frequencies without breakup.

Tesla Magnetic System + Auxiliary Passive Radiator

Inside E1000 is an exceptionally powerful magnetic circuit:
dual neodymium magnets generate a 9,000-gauss magnetic field,
delivering Tesla-level driving force to the dynamic driver.

Under this immense power, the auxiliary passive radiator system comes into play—
acting as a “steering rudder” for low frequencies,
controlling waveform movement to achieve tighter, more focused, and elastic bass.

Drum hits gain a true sense of physical presence,
while bass lines flow clearly around the ear instead of dispersing into loose energy.
Tesla magnetic patent number: ZL 2017 1 0933110.7

Shaped Structure + Ultra-Lightweight CCAW Voice Coil

E1000 employs a 0.03mm CCAW lightweight voice coil,
boosting response speed by a full 30%.

The result is agile transient performance,
with stronger attack and details that leap forward instantly.

Meanwhile, the T-shaped structure ensures that after explosive moments,
the driver returns quickly and cleanly to equilibrium.

Triple Magnetic Guidance + Dual Magnets

To allow sound to unfold with greater stability and scale,
we engineered a precision magnetic circuit composed of
dual high-performance magnets and a triple-layer magnetic guidance system.

The three magnetic guidance plates act as the skeletal framework of the acoustic structure—
supporting the driver, suppressing unwanted resonance,
and reinforcing the overall sonic foundation.

This actually looks very nice. But I am still considering to pick IE600 as my ultimate single DD set
