I barely listened to 5k in total across spotify, youtube music and apple music. I got to pump my rookie numbers
YES at least 4 hours a day or you are not an audiophile and will be banned from the forum
Listening to music is not a competition
Nothing works like Spotify when you are high.
Some organizations make playlists and I use Spotify only for that reason.
Time to make it ranked
Yes let’s have a tournament
Last man s̶t̶a̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ listening
Man, that is a ton of music listening. Jeez. If I wasn’t into podcasts and random documentary videos on YouTube, I’d probably have a ton more minutes of music listening. Good on you for stopping the smoking, bro. That’s a big step!
It’s about the quality more so than the quantity, brother!
That is nuts
I tend to use YouTube Music at the office, and they started gamifying their stuff, so I got a badge for being in the top 1% of Zeppelin listeners. I am shocked that I am not in that neighborhood for a few other bands ( Rush, Greta Van Fleet, and Steely Dan ), but I haven’t figured out their badges. They only show them on mobile, which I don’t use very much, since I can’t have my phone in the room my desk is in. I tend to listen to FLAC at home.
Quitting is one of the best things I did this year. Thanks to the community which kept me busy.
And for music, that’s insane right? As of now , I tested ~100 equipments in 2024 and published ~50 reviews. Hell lot of gears.
Will be uploading Mega tier list/IEM Ranking on my YouTube at the end of this Year.
You be betting busy with the classic rock gods, huh, John? Good stuff. I was in the top %1 of daft punk listeners, the top 500 for No Vacation, and the top 100 (!) listeners for the band Goon which was cool to see.
Good for you, brother. I quit smoking this year too, vaping to be specific—one of the best things I’ve done for myself in my life. I wish I had never started in the first place but tis is life.
Fifty reviews is nuts! I did ten, and I was burnt out by 8.
Man, major respect to everyone here who’s managed to quit smoking or vaping this year—I’ve tried to kick vaping, but it’s still got a hold on me. Working on it, though!
Also, 50 reviews in a year @Argha? That’s dedication! I’m curious—after testing 100 pieces of gear, does it ever start feeling repetitive, or do you still get excited unboxing something new?"
Agreed
I smoked for about 30 years, then switched to vaping. I then spent 5 years vaping, and I was down to zero nicotine for nearly two months before I actually quit.
That’s seriously impressive, 30 years is no joke. It’s inspiring to hear about your journey—shows it’s possible to get there even after such a long time. I’ll keep pushing, knowing it’s achievable!
Absolutely spot on xD! Spotify has some solid playlists that work perfectly for a whole day of background listening while your high xD. Its been a few months Ive been off of it now hope to keep the clean streak going on for a little longer
Absolutely man! I didnt think I was strong enough to quit but due to some health issues I had to, and in a way I am very thankful for it!
Yea vaping is really hard to quit, because its the easiest to hide and requires the least effort to use. I am sure you are trying your best, it always better before your body gives you a reminder xD
I’m not sure how you guys feel without nicotine, but I get extremely irritated and impatient. I learned that, in this stage of my life, I don’t have the will-power to drop nicotine completely, so I have nicotine pouches to hold me over till I can completely kick the stuff.
Quitting is hard. It’s extremely hard. I had a moment of clarity when I was completely gassed out and exhausted after playing on a trampoline with my son for 5 minutes, I was completely winded. I could barely breath. That’s the moment I decided to quit. Sometimes it just takes a small push to make a huge impact.
Don’t give up, you can do it @AcousticAngel
nah it’s easy brah, done it a dozen times
Yea I used to get quite jittery and couldnt think about anything clearly until I had a cig, mornings and nights were the worst. and when i stopped cigs my usage of increased to cig levels, but thankfully am off both now!
HA
Same here. I remember going a day without my vape would turn me into a monster. Not good. I wish I never started smoking in the first place, but it’s what ever. It’s a life lesson at the end of the day. My only goal now is to make sure my son never tries the stuff.
Yeah, same here. It really does have a choke hold on me. The damn stuff really is a legal drug. But good for you on kicking both, that’s a huge accomplishment.
