It would look cheap without any text imo
I would love to know the nozzle diameter on these at the widest point. I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere and it is hard to guess since it is different than most.
Do the Lumen and Lux have fluffy, pillowy bass like the Fan 3? If not, then graphs don’t tell close to the entire story.
I loved the Fan 3 before I gave it to my brother as his first IEM. Smooth signature, holographic stage because of the BCD. But it does bass like a game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey or a piss-drunk driver taking a roadside sobriety test. Far from pinpoint.
Great insight.
Then no, they’re not exactly an alt. then. The Lux and Lumen have sensational bass texture and tactility. It’s one of the aspects of the Lux I praised.
Good to know. I’m lusting after the Lumen as a possible gift to myself after retiring at the end of this year.
This also is an example of how comparing IEMs by graph is illusory. Sure, their lines may match up, but they may not sound alike due to tuning, driver type, etc.
Graphs are an interesting starting point for comparison. But graphs are third in line, at best, in my evaluation process. First always is my ears and brain, if I can test a model. Second is feedback from fellow enthusiasts and reviewers I trust. Then third is graphs.
Couldn’t agree more.
5.6mm nominal, 6.2mm at the lip
Perfect….
Thanks
I can’t do Dom’s shots justice, but here’s one that kinda highlights how the text pops in the light when it catches it just right but is mad subtle otherwise:
No sound impressions yet as I am recovering from outpatient surgery on my dome today (all good, no worries!) and as such I don’t trust my thoughts to be clear yet. After some good listening though I’ll out them up in the usual places!
nice shot, it really is a classy looking set, i like it! ![]()
Wish you a speed recovery and happy listening! ![]()
They really are lookers in person! I did some size comparisons since they seem far smaller in person than all of the pics I’ve seen, I’d say the shells are about Andromeda-sized front to back but a little thicker. I don’t have my U6t anymore, but the 64 Audio comparisons seem apt other than I could swear those were a little thicker or larger overall. Shots for comparison with an oldie-but-oddity, the Campfire Nova (same shell shape/size as OG Andromeda):
Thanks man! It’s mostly just not bugging my stitches and trying not to bleed on my pillow tonight haha, shouldn’t be any complications (just a cyst removal, quick and easy). I’ve got something more invasive next week but again, shouldn’t be serious.
man that other cable looks like it was made for Lumen, can you please swap them i bet it looks dope!![]()
And the white one would probably look better on the Campfire set aswell….can´t help it

Looks like a good size for sure, hope i can get the chance to demo Lumen, i just like me some neutral but not boringly tuned sets….from what i have read it would fill the bill nicely
Glad its nothing serious, still surgeries are always a little sketchy, therefore all the best! ![]()
Sadly, I can’t; the gold one is the old Tin T3 upgrade cable which is MMCX while Lux is 2pin. Agreed that it would be a great aesthetic match though haha.
Edit: the stock Prisma cable is really solid, but I can’t lie that I may do some swapping at some point…

Boys, I’ve matured to a DAP.
I have reached the next level of audiophile. It took me so long. Maybe longer than it should have, but I’m glad it worked out this way. The timing couldn’t have been better to be honest.
FiiO M33 with the Silver Flash is absolute synergy heaven. It lifted these up a notch or two by adding quite a bit of overall note weight and taming just enough of the bite in the treble.
This is good stuff. I hope everyone has a great night ![]()
Get well soon, man. Enjoy those new beauties when you can and let us know your impressions. Lumen and Lux sure appear to be the goods!
Congrats, dude! Now I may be the last holdout, still running all my IEMs from a desktop DAC/amp stack because I listen to music about 99 percent of the time at my desk.
Maybe one of these days I’ll go mobile … The M33 sure looks like a nice option.
Enjoy the new rig.
If I were in your shoes, Paul, I would have gotten a K11 R2R and saved about $500 so you’re still good, brother. If anything, you could always get the K11 R2R if you wanted a taste of the R2R flavor. I’m just always on the go so this works the best for me.
There are little to no reviews out there for this thing, but considering the next comparable thing is the DX270, I’d say the M33 is a pretty dang good option. Thanks, buddy.
Oh man wishing you a speedy recovery brother
healing vibes coming from the Kennet and Avon canal ![]()
I’ve been meaning to ask: what cable did you put on the Canpurs? Still looking for a good one (ordered a decent one but got the wrong termination
) PS haven’t had the time to demo the M33 yet unfortunately but still planning to do so).
