šŸ”¶ DUNU ZEN Single DD

Also, the round tips that are bluish it comes with were very good for me.

AZLA Sedna Earfit Lights are my favorite tips for the Zen. They have the largest bore size and are longer than most tips.

I’ve been using Radius Deep Mount tips on my Dunu Zen, but that’s specifically because the original Zen rolls off the treble, so I wouldn’t expect to like that tip quite as well on the Zen Pro (which I haven’t heard, but FR graph looks like it has more treble extension).

For most IEMs, I really like Final Type E tips, so that’s probably what I would try first on the Zen Pro. (Actually, you may want to try the stock tips first and see if they work for you! If you’re lucky, you might not have to buy anything at all.)

Yes, i’ve heard and saw some graphs that Zen Pro has more upper treble and less high mid a little bit. But let see how it fits and sounds

These are excellent for fit/comfort/sound. They struggle a bit in the falling out department for me. They also don’t emphasize the bass. And that may be preferable. I actually like the regular/long version the best personally. They all fit/work similarly. I have regular/light and short/long combinations. Spiral dots are almost identical to these.

I have not tried all these tips in multiple sizes. But for some, one size difference is the difference between a solid seal without falling out. Again, I usually use the largest size and sit as far out as possible to avoid irritation. This makes material grip more important. For deeper insertion I would want less grip.

The other thing that I find critical is the tip does not slide down the nozzle. This is what makes the xelastec problematic. I cut a spacer out of final e tips to fix that. However, cp100 plus ended up being better as it has similar grip to the xelastec but is so tightly mounted, it won’t move. Crystal is similar, but this is one where the largest size may actually be too big. (Didn’t order the mix pack on this one should have)

How hard is it to get support from DUNU from the U.S.? The left driver just died. :frowning:

Have you tried others cable? It might be cable’s issue…

Two dunu cables, stock and blanche. Both of which work with timeless. :frowning:

Since there isn’t a dedicated Dunu Zen Pro thread yet, I’ll post here. Just wanted to report I got the Zen Pro last week and have been tip rolling plus experimenting with EQ. So far I’ve tried JVC Spiral Dot ++, Azla SednaEarFit Crystal, SednaEarFit Standard, Clear stock Dunu tips, and Sony Hybrid (included with the Zen Pro). My favorite is the SednaEarFit Crystal, with the Clear/Blue Dunu tips in second because of a smaller soundstage and imaging. Comparing to my JVC HA-FDX1, the Zen Pro is a lot more dynamic and just overall more fast and precise. And some of the most incredible bass I have heard among all headphones including full size open-backs. Certainly the best IEM I have heard so far, at least with my setup of the SednaEarfit Crystal tips and EQ.

I just took this image of the Dunu Zen. I actually submitted it to a photography competition. I really love it. Just thought I would share.

Still love these IEMs!

That was kind of the point. I imagine the image is unique enough to get attention. If they can’t figure it out, I hope they ask. Or google.

I am really enjoying photography lately.

Any more feedback on the DUNU Zen recently? With the VULKAN coming out soon-ish, figured it would be good to get some more DUNU discussion going here!
