Empyrean case is closer to a briefcase than a pelican/audeze case. Itā€™s really nice, but still not something Iā€™ve really used other than to stow away cords and the spare pads

I would be way too worried to take that on a plane or public transportation lol. Too bulky and for the airplane I feel like TSA would get their hands on it for sure

I had a post about how much looks impact your opinion of a headphone, and I seemed to be in the minority who felt like it mattered at all. But aesthetics played a massive part in my buying these because I felt the same way

Yeah I worked in manufacturing so I appreciate the effort and time that goes in to them. Wow I figured the box would be plastic. :thinking:

itā€™s more a craftsmanship thing. I also think the Kennertonā€™s look great. Handmade like ZMF is a big plus, and the sterile precision of Focals is a big part to me too

edit: probably why Iā€™m down on most Hifiman

I mean I like the look of most headphones tbh. There are very little headphones that I look at and I would actually dislike

They are very nice looking speakers lol. How do you feel about the looks of KEF coax speakers? Or I guess a better question would be what do you think your favorite looking speaker is?

I have the standard black with copper driver design, but I love the white with blue (?) look. Speakers you actually look at vs headphones

To be fair I havenā€™t been looking hard at speakers mostly just sponging up knowledge as I go.
And For me they must be self powered I am not interested in figuring out an amp to go with my speakers.
