I have many “favorite” tracks… but the one that I have really like through the years is this one. Natalie Merchant - Carnival. I am mesmerized by the talent of the guitar player. She doesn’t overplay or overpower, and just seems to blend in almost perfectly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1-J2tTDFk4
If I had to choose one, but for lyrics first and music, it’d be THIS…

Why do I have a feeling, that this list of replies could make a magnificent playlist, when it’ll grow pretty enough?
Tough shit. Just one?
Maybe Sakuzyo - Lost Memory https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oq9UAV028U
I really like The Blues Brother and my favorite track out of all that they have would be “Sweet home chicargo” just because of the piano solo performance.
Its KJ Sawka feat. Christa Wells - New Life (Technical Itch Remix)
This was the first track ive heard from Technical Itch while tripping and it changed everything from this moment. Ive felt deeply in love with Technical Itchs music and Jungle music in general. This music, and this track have changed my life in every possible way.
Technical Itch stands out for me, his creations are expectional. His music shows how i feel. Such Intelligent soundstructures.
Cause it very well could
Yes: Roundabout
My most favorite track of my most favorite album of my most favorite band
This
and it rolls into…
Stunning raw beauty, can’t even explain how you can record and portray emotions like this…genius.
Rush: The Camera Eye. THIS! Fantastically great Terry Brown production. I heard this on a pair of Magnapans in 1983 on CD. The CD had the SPARS code DDD. I Don’t remember witch model Maggies, (they were tall) but they played through Adcom separates with a Audio Control EQ/analyzer.
My first True HI-End experience. I was 18. From the silence on the start of the track to how it builds, the imagery, the wall of building sound. My God! I have been an Audiophile ever since this. I remember to this day the quick, 3d, wall of sound. Thanks Bob wherever you are.
The Best is Yet to Come - Aoife Ní Fhearraigh (from Metal Gear Solid Game Score on PS1)
I mean, this is basically an impossible task but i guess…
I’d probably say West Ruth Avenue by The Night Flight Orchestra I love this song
Corners of the Earth - Odesza
It’s not a perfect song but it gives me chills. I wish it was longer.
The Allman Betts Band - Try
Samson is my personal favourite from her
Imkeep on hearing that, i must give it a shot
Shikata Akiko - Toki no Suna / Sands of Time from Ar Tonelico 3.
This track became one of my most beloved tracks, and most played, ever since I first heard it. It’s a really sad song and it’s the ending theme to the character Saki’s normal end route in the game. I should really replay the game some day to get all the endings.
Shikata Akiko in general is probably my all time favourite artist. She has such a fantastic voice and unique style. Her tracks are often heavily mixed with multiple layers of voices and she often includes music boxes (orgel / オルゴール) in them. She has about as many music box albums as she has regular ones, along with several game soundtracks, most famous being her participating in Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Ar Tonelico and Ciel noSurge. She’s also done plenty of anime collaborations aside from her work in the Japanese doujin gaming scene.
