Try with 1mm O-ring. This will push iem little bit outside of your ear, but also it will add more treble and soundstage. Weather you like the chenge or not but for me it works perfectly.
That’s a good thought. What tips are you using?
And if you don’t mind me asking, what is the inner diameter of the o ring? I appreciate your help
Just take any tip you don’t use (any size) and cut 1mm in width of the inner part.
Ah. That makes sense. Thanks again for the suggestion.
I remembered I had some foamies in a drawer. Those did the trick, perfectly. I think it knocks the highs down a bit, but they still sound great and comfort is no longer an issue, so yay me.
Apologies in advance for another reply, but I wanted to share I finally cut an old ear tip to use as a spacer as you suggested. Brilliant. The FD5 now fits perfectly.
have you tried the Drop JVC? they are my fave DD iem,I wonder how these two compare.Since crin doesn’t measure it yet
Nope. character limit
They are great and no one talks about them, I honestly don’t get it.
i agree and people sell those Drop JVC for 140$ these days which is nuts !
well some people believe that more driver is better which is wrong lmao
Are you guys talking about the wood ones? I need another IEM like I need a hole in the head.
no the stainless steel
Depends on what you’re expecting. Single DD usually have nice timbre. I find the soundstage and imaging more interesting and spacious with most hybrids.
Different strokes for different folks.
Is the wood one completely different or just a wooden shell. I was interested in the wood one since it’s quite different. I wonder if the wood effects the tonality. Maybe I’ll do some digging.
That’s the one I was thinking about purchasing. lol It looks nice.
Im referring to the HA-FDX1
