đŸ”¶ FiiO FH3 2BA 1DD

The only real possible negative might be the bass so far, it’s OK. Not the cleanest not the best, but it’s OK

What?? I actually like them than Blon03,L3,FH5 for EDM and HIPHOP but the rest of the genre they are average, I use my Mangird Tea for the other genres

indeed, much more comtrol, slam , detail etc. again not a fair comparison indeed. it’s just that based off this thread i assumed more from the fiio

I could see how someone could say the bass overpowers the mids in the FH3. Personally, I’m fine with that but I won’t say that the mids are stellar. They are slightly pushed back.

I think one would try to compare it with other products. You can’t just dismiss everything by saying it’s subjective though, but I get your point because even with that, my experiences with products that I am trying to compare to will be different references than yours. That’s why this hobby is very difficult, especially with wildly varying reviews.

In regards to hype, you know it’s overdone when it starts bleeding into other threads as well. I feel like all I’ve read about in the past month is about the FH3.

the next day i actually posted my full impressions! i think much better of the bass now than on the first time i put them on! def better than blon bass lol. Also besides not having the burn in that they have now i actually had the shitty xduoo bass boost on accidentally yesterday lol

Right. I think the hype around the FH3 should be around its price first. Then its bass technicalities and then how much of a “fun” listen this IEM is which speaks to its inoffensive tuning.

Sorry if any hype from me personally was misleading if that’s what you were getting at.

You know what they say when you assume lol

Yeah, I did. The Mangird Tea. They are definitely recessead in comparison. I’ve said it multiple times.

LMAO! I use q5s.

No, you’re good. I think hype generally needs a group of people anyhow. If it comes from one person alone, it’s usually much more obvious and actually tend to get unintentionally ostracized.

For me I value the tuning, bass quantity/quality and treble refinement way more than the technicalities.

So that is why I think it competes against my higher priced iems like the LZ A6.

If technicalities are your first priority, then the A6 should be the one you are looking at and not the FH3.

right, well do keep in mind that i’m trying to just be a bit more rationale due to the mega hype around the fiio haha. But ultimately i really do love it, i’ve tried a handful of IEMs only and these really are my favorite by a fair amount. I’m only really talking about my expectations versus the reality!

all good, everyone hypes stuff and it’s not like you are the one man army

so this is something i wanted to make clear and state as well. i think in the audio hobby sometimes “tuning” is a bit undervalued. I understand that the blon bl03 is also super sloppy in many ways but i really do believe that it’s tuning brings all of it’s value and even more. As it should be allowed to

Make sure you’re listening to them with a good source because the FH3 scale. Tips also matter. You’re listening to the FH3 with the voacl tips. Personally I hate them for their sound. I listen with Spinfits that accentuate the bass performance.

Source and tips may have a to do with the differences here. Keep enjoying them, your impressions may continue to change as they did overnight.

Giving flash backs about the HarmonicDyne Helios thread now lol

yeah, I dont really care about iems that are super technical only for it to be a sharp and bloaty mess.

I do as well!

That’s my issue with most chifi iems especially the higher end ones, as they can really suck in tuning, coherency, and refinement at times. But the fh3 was tuned by someone who knows what they are doing lol, imo nicer tuning that most alternatives to the fh3

ah that makes sense. yeah i remember the gray-ish ones had more bass (from the little amount i listened to those for) but i really am a vocal’s guy haha so i can’t change the tips lol. ienjoy em more!
