I didnāt find the Fiio M11 Better then the BTR3 as far as single ended power resolution and quality and I ended up selling mine and pre ordering a BTR5

It was good but I only noticed a difference on iems and thats why I am getting a btr5 for the balanced out 
Wait, isnāt the only thing you can run balanced that you have be IEMs?
If you want to get he most out of the Elex, I feel upgrading the the cleaner power output of the m11 pro would definitely be worth it and would last longer for future headphone upgrades down the line too. But I dunno, maybe the standard m11 is decent as well.

Yeah its pretty good, and honestly still a upgrade but the m11 pro does sound cleaner
Ah, well tbh (or to be frank lol) you donāt really have any headphones that would benefit from a balanced connection
I also think that if you wanted something, you could get a chord mojo and slap it on the back of your dap, and that would upgrade the sound

What makes it a step up? To me losing that slot better be justified lol. Thatās pretty high on my list of valued things.
Iām sure it would, but the question then would be:
Mojo plus m6 or M11 stand alone.
Tried them a couple days ago and honestly off of my m6 they sounded like a super Elex which I think is BECAUSE of them being easier to drive more than anything when it comes to my setup. Maybe clear > than Elex in general but off of a m6 thereās no competition at all. Clear wins easily.
Well what are your thoughts on the BTR5? Specifically for the Elex vs the M11

Iām also considering the pocket space.
I personally would take the m6 and the mojo sound q wise but you do get some quality of life upgrades on the usability side for the m11
Also if you wanted to you could use your main phone and the mojo too
For me I donāt think loosing the 2nd slot is justified because I have a dac/amp slapped on the back of it too lol. But I do think the m11 pro does have better sound quality

Does the pro specifically output more power or does it just dac better?
I should add that my general preference is to simplify as much as possible. If my DAP can be my amp thatās ideal.
Itās actually about roughly equal, but the better sound quality comes out of the m11 pro imo

My assumption that the m11 has enough output to run the Elex correctly is right at least?

Yes imo, plenty. I donāt want to discourage you from getting a clear, but I think you might want to enjoy the elex for a couple more months lol before you decide to take the next step up, I think you might appreciate the clears more at that point
I agree, although I will admit that if the clear pads were likeā¦ 1/4 the price then they would be ordered for my Elex by now. Their firmer nature really made a difference for me. Funny how much more difficult headphones are than speakersā¦ With speakers itās likeā¦sound and looks and thatās it.
And am I right that the m6 is a bit shy of powering the Elex correctly as well?
Kinda yeah, its not really power but quality imo that is limiting the potential
