Agreed. The pro is a no go for me because I use it as a transport anyway and also only one sd card (I really need 2 at this point)

Well, I bit the bullet and picked up a pair of the Elex. I am crossing my fingers that the quality control will be good with this batch.
I am going from a 58x so I believe it should be a major improvement.

For the called $ 600, I would order it immediately.
Have you looked around for a used pair or looked for a used clear? You might be able to find a more local option

A used pair of the clear still costs around ⏠1000, which corresponds to around $ 1100.

I also asked drop why they canât sell Elex to EU⊠they just went behind the common âthis is not okâ explanation but probably truth is.
Focal is doing really good Europe and wants to control their stuff. Elex would ruin things.

You could just perhaps find a used clear?
The Elex would have interested me as a comparison headphones against the European versions of Focal and how it compares to Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic and others.
For 3-4 months Iâve actually been through the topic of over-ear headphones.
Since I have been able to call some high-quality in-ears my own and have found that they are, at least for me as a big headed person much more comfortable to wear.
In addition, they are at least equivalent in tonality, spatial acoustics, details, dynamics and resolution compared to high-end over ear versions.
Sometimes even a step ahead in terms of intensity.
In addition, I am much more flexible with it, I have to worry less about the drive and save sooooo much space.
And whether I invest $ 1,500 for a ZMF, Sennheiser, Focal, Audeze etc. or a Campfire Audio for example remains the same.
I could by they so bloody expensive here⊠Might as well go B-Stock on Focal Clear Professionals.
Even those would be 1.2k US.
One pair of Clear, used in local market and it was like 850 US.
So the 600$ + cargo + small fee of delivery is much more peeling.
Gotcha, sometimes clears can be cheaper but that seems to not be the case
