🔶 Focal Elex

My listening station is right beside my chair so I think it will be okay for a while. As I finalize my collection by the end of the year, I might then step up with some nice cables when all is said and done.

The collection will never be finished, but will be a LOT less fluid.

What would be a good price for the Elex second hand? Im looking for a elex but if I can find a used pair for a decent price, why not. 400-500?

You can find them for about 300 used now

Damn where? If anyone of you guys see a deal like that please share it. Thanx

They will knock you on shipping and tax to SA

Thats ok if I get it at $300, will use AGS and take it from there. But yea tax is a bitch

ebay is where i saw it

Try to get this for a cheaper price and maybe fix it ? Worth a shot I think

Replacement Driver

I rarely ever see them used in Canada, they were expensive and they go quick.

I found a few on Head-Fi, but they were around $500.00. With conversion and shipping to Canada, just not worth it. I got tired of waiting.

I am hoping that these will give me a great 1-2 punch for open backs with my Grado’s.

That driver listing is mine… haha. =P

Haha cool  I was actually thinking about it! but I don’t think it’ll be worth it for me, especially due to being located in Europe.

That was probably when they were unavailable for sale on massdrop. now they’ve been on sale for such a long time and even at a discount. i’m not surprised to see used prices drop to 300.

thats 300$ for the headphones and driver. but he still needs to buy pads, which can be expensive

Yeah true and it’s still a gamble to be honest. But a good project nonetheless, especially if he can negotiate a cheaper price.

Yeah, and he might be able to source another broken elex and use it for parts. they pop up for as cheap as 80$

Its been there for ages. Get many low ballers?

I took it down and bought the $200 elex myself. I’ll fix it and resell it. I have extra pads too.

ouch, you should have negotiated a better price giova. i think its over priced.

Oh thank you for the great advice! Just let me rewind time and fix that. =)

lol, well i mentioned above broken elex’s were going for 80$

Yes, I’ve seen a few that were from a seller last year that went up for around that… and they were snatched up immediately. It’s not really common. Most broken go for around $200. It’s a reasonable price. It should take about 20 minutes to fix and I’ll make a quick $100~ or so.
