Oh, ha! Thanks for asking! Several folks are already bidding so I wouldnât feel right doing a side deal.
Oh no stress, didnt know it was an auction.Hope you get your price.
The pads already sold through on drop. That was so quick.
Still more and more people complaining of only getting one ear pad. I guess drop messed up really bad for some reason.
Thatâs funny. Somebody at Massdrop is being raked across the coals right now.
Does it say pair or just Focal Elex Earpad
It says pair on the page.
Theyâve admitted it was a warehouse mistake, the big question is how many packages went out with 1/2 the requisite number, people on the West coast wonât even receive the package until next Friday.
It could be a very expensive mistake for them.
Iâve made a very expensive mistake once in my career. It was not a pleasant experience.
Looks like itâs going to be an expensive mistake for drop, apparently Focal labelled them wrong and as a result every order was packaged wrong by the warehouseâŠ
Yeah, theyâre bound to go up as the finish line approaches two days from now.
As for myself, Iâm not too big of a fan of the Elex after spending one week with it. The treble was wonky and I wasnât fond of its metallic timbre. Thatâs just me though. There could have been an issue with my review pair.
As for my preferences, FWIW, I enjoy the following cans: Arya, HE-6, HE-500, LCD2.1 (prefazor), and the HD6XX.
Just curious, what amp have you been using?
SDAC-B+THX AAA 789, which I admit is colder, more metallic sounding than my Schitt stack (Magni 3/Modi 3) that I eventually moved over to my work office. I was in the process of going back to edit my post with the above info when I saw your reply.
Hmm, the thx would be alright. I donât really like the modi nor magni 3 whatsoever but the thx should have it sound correct enough
Like surely common sense should kick in when you only put in one pad? Where did they think it went? On the userâs nose?
The pads had 4 reviews with all 5 stars. Now itâs 17 with 2.2 stars. Someone even gave the middle finger in their review.
Itâs some warehouse worker following instructions.
Yes. In most organizations initiative and problem solving arenât rewarded at that level. So why would anybody in the warehouse stick their necks out and ask a question? Best case: you help the company but realize zero personal gain. Most likely just annoy your supervisor and get put on the night shift.
My marathon Elex trial continues to run. This weekend I started to think that maybe these headphones were too bright for me, but it wasnât that. With these headphones you really do get back what you put in. A Lot of new music I find is ânoisyâ. I was listening to the Marcus King Band and it just seemed there was some static noise in the background. I had been noticing these extra sounds more and more on the weekend. This morning I put on Florence and the Machine and it sounded wonderful. So crisp and clean. I then put on some Steely Dan and got the same results.
These really do give you the truth, for better or worse. I had been thinking yesterday that it was time to change up and clear the palette. In reality it was just time to change up the music.
Iâd agree with that assessment. If something isnât mastered and/or recorded well, itâs very obvious.
