The ones that are selling it might be the ones with the bad units though? Maybe not a good choice to buy a second hand unit on this one.
For sure, I imagined going about it cautiously. Buying from someone who knows their stuff, had what the deemed to be a good pair, but just needs to thin their collection.
Giving the small price, iâd buy a new and keep abusing warranty. They are sending new ones to people with bad sets
Without a measuring rig, it might be hard to convince them my ears arenât at fault if I get a set that sounds like junk?
Tbh the worst case scenario is getting one thatâs only a little off. I wouldnât be sure if Iâm hearing the full extent of the"good" tuning everyoneâs raving about. Permanently uncertain if they were meant to be better or not.
Thatâs true. But if you like it, you like it. If you dont, just sell it. Thereâs no rights or wrongs to whatever sounds good to you.
Everyoneâs taste is different. You wont like a good IEM just because someone says its good! Treat it like food tastes
Also, my comment was more torwards dead drivers, glued vents or sub bass roll.
I know, but it can be hard to prove those QC issues without showing their effect on sound. I wasnât talking about taste/preference at all.
I see your point. And youâre right. But judging by manufacturerâs comments, they are blinding sending replaces to people because they are aware their qc suck.
I also think they will get better qc down the road. You can wait a couple of months and maybe even get them on sale!
@Rikudou_Goku what I do find odd about Crinâs initial impressions is that he says they donât isolate well and arenât suited for outside use. Unless you listen at very low volume or you live inside of a construction zone I canât see how these wouldnât isolate enought. Maybe heâs using the wrong tips or something but I definitely canât hear my gf talking or the TV playing when I wear these and have music on at low/regular volume.
(Replied here to keep Chrisâs thread clean)
He called them below-average to average on that. That should be accurate, since above average stuff would be iems (BA mostly) with unvented shells.
Mine should arrive this week (if customs allow them, if not, in a month ). Expectations are down, lets see.
They sound pretty good if you EQ the lower mids/bass down a bit. My impressions are similar to Crinâs.
The stock tuning is fine actually if you want something thatâs thicker sounding.
Doing my best to make HIFIGuides entertaining and fun while providing useful, factual information to those looking for advise.
Thereâs Head-Fi for that. Just troll
