Did he respond to this?
not particularly “I just got done going after RiceGuru, so you wanted to jump on the bandwagon? Or did you just want a turn yourself?” is what he said so not to the song. but he responded to me
I just have this weird feeling, that he dosen’t like rap
Rammstein has nothing to do with hip hop or homophobic/racist tendencies
Rammstein kissed each other on a concert in moscow
Where in Russia are hard laws against homosexuality in public … cool statement
Most/many in the audience thought oh we will see some crazy german nazi show with fireblasters hahahaha
Love it!
well i didn’t mention any of that lol. but yeah they are cool, seen some of their concerts or whatever and they had fun crazy shows. scary music videos too
I have been inspired to post music that contrary to the narrative on the Rap thread
I know you did not mention any of it
Wanted to point out because many don’t understand german and think of rammstein in a weird way all over the world
We germans are mostly cool with all foreigners and have some idiots like everywhere in the world
ah i see, didn’t realize your german! thats pretty cool!!! and well they aren’t weird in a bad way, just not normal lol
Netherlands rap is surprisingly good, ive found some good German ones as well.
I cant lie Im mostly listening for the beats though.
Canadian rap just has stuff like the Weeknd and Drake
Yeah there are of course a few really good people
Marteria… aka marsimoto for example
former pro football (sorry soccer) player… later international male model… acting school in new York…
and has flow… is smart… has style and a voice… even self reflecting and funny about himself though has an amount of credibility
Top Performance on stage and very good produced albums
Now he is obviously Mainstream and so on
I talk here as I would be an expert on hip hop… no way
But I respect some and laugh about most hip hop people
prefer the #oldshool… grew up with eazy-e and Tupac
Though never was a real hip hop kid
French hip hop is real… more so than german… for example
Hip hop and r and b is one of those genres that tend to get some of the worst heat in the audiophile community.and it being one of my favorites I feel like encouraging those that resent it.
We have some really decent talent mostly concentrated In Toronto but most really just ride the wave rather than innovate
Yep. Live in Toronto and even then most folks who just do live venues at bars are some version of tragically hip or rheostatics
Lol I don’t know what happened to this thread.
Anyways…
@anon54878099 Yeah that song with Katy Perry is from an album made by P.O.D. (another band with christians in it that gets labeled as ‘christian’ jjat because they talk about it in their music) called ‘Testify’. The album was 2006, the music video is 2009. Those were the days that most of my music that I like came from.
I think I appreciate the fringes of rap and hip hop more than the mainstream. Tyler, chance, mf doom. British hip hop etc. More interesting stuff out on the edge
Same but I recently started having alot of fun with more mainstream stuff
Oooooooh! Well interesting either way that she collaborated with rock! Never knew fhat
Katie Perry is an artist - we need more of her
Uhh an another one, not sure what the hell is the genre she is trying to convey here but one of the so called “singers” I don’t like is Yoko Ono. Like, wtf are you even doing?! I am not sure if that is singing or cat being castrated with no anesthesia at all! Ffs woman, I don’t even know why John Lennon married you in the first place!
