Yes, you could do that. It has 2 spdif inputs. One on the front and one in the back.

Per Geshelli’s site, this is now sold out. A new DAC is announced for the Spring.

That’s interesting. Wonder if it’s by choice or by necessity with AK4493 chips not being available or something like that.
Yeah, I doubt Geshelli is a big enough operation to order a year’s supply of chips in advance. The AKM fire really hurt them and other smaller, boutique audio companies.
I wonder if they are going to release an ESS chip-based DAC or, heaven forbids, an R2R DAC.

They said on twitter that yes they ran out of AKM chips and are testing multiple options with test board already on the way.
I’m glad I bought mine even if customs where brutal.

Shame they couldnt get any more chips as the JNOG really is an amazing dac, I will be selling my Modius as I prefer JNOG overall. Will be interesting to see what they come up with. I would guess Sabre or Cirrus logic based dac. Would be nice to have a ESS option that wasnt Topping and the like!

Just ordered a blue one with the AKM4493 chip excited.
I am a little bit disappointed that I can’t figure out how to get signal from my media streamer to the J2 all it has on my Tempotec Serenade X is 4.4mm and SE RCA out? And idea’s?
Analog to digital converter. You can start with a cheap one and see how that goes. I really like my J1, which has the AK chip

Sounds more like your streamer already has analog outputs and you wouldn’t need a DAC, but I’m surprised that a streamer doesn’t has a least one or two spdif outputs o_0
