🔶 GoldPlanar GL2000

First planar so I’m not sure yet, sounds good with techno, I’m boosting 3db at 110 cuz that’s where I like my kicks. I’m just listening to them for awhile then will compare to Clears, I’ll post music as well. But man they just sound huge and wide, comfort is plush

Sounds huge and wide…

These are just so Macro, I don’t know how to describe. Pad swap is a must. Just huge and wide. Clears are that Micro pinpoint, these are just crazy with electronic music.

Absolutely keeping these, just a huge big comfortable listen. Now to maximize the chain

What pads did you swapped in?

@Moya Stock were all leather, they come with hybrid pads as well, def prefer those for most soundstage/width.

Looks like Linsoul only sells the double sided version now.

If I had to guess, they sold through on the single sided and decided since the double was so much more wanted they only reordered stock of the double sided.

I mean, yeah…next time they should send all the variations of a model to reviewers…what if they did send the single version? Zeos would probably be disappointed and the hype will not exist, ever. Double version won’t even be considered
They got lucky I guess.

well crinkle got the single sided for review and he was very disappointed. But yeah they really should send out all variations for comparison reviews.

The headphones are out for delivery but they’re taking forever to deliver it

So Linsoul got back to me, and here’s what they say about orders placed on Amazon:

“We are selling GL2000 on Amazon.
At present it only shipped from China.
It covers 1 year warranty.
If you want to return to US warehouse, concerning the weight and size, you need to return it by youeself with a suitable express.
Besides, usually in the return case, Amazon allows seller to charge restocking fee (20%).”

How’s it coming along with the GL’s? Did you pad swap to the hybrids?

Yes noticeable difference, brought out the width, these are like a macro experience, big and thick bass I love it. Cleats are a nice companion.

Have you tried them for gaming yet? Wondering how punchy and powerful the bass is compared to dynamic drivers. What’s your overall impressions so far?

Not a gamer so I would have no point of reference there, I’m against on music is crazy good though, nice and wide as well with hybrid pads

How deep does the bass go? Does it have power and rumble? How close is the bass to a good dynamic driver?

I meant imaging up top there sorry, so for techno and like psytrance/electronic I boost about 3db @110, .5db @ 7 k and it’s pretty much perfect for me. It takes really well to EQ. Fat and thick it’s hard to describe

These headphones I put in my favorite pile for bass. Includes 1266 Empyrean TH909 SR-007 mk 2 and VC. Bass is deep and strong.

Wow - that’s really impressive, especially if you’re saying it’s on par with the TH909 and VC when it comes to bass. Anything about these HP’s that you don’t like?
