HD 600 or Sendy Aiva

Returning the elex? Or like going to pick up the r70x as well?

I’ll probably give the elex another week, but yeah maybe ordering a r70x.

Gotcha, I wonder if you will end up enjoying it for listening, it is very solid for mastering though. Also perhaps consider trying an amp like the jds labs atom or liquid spark imo, I think it would improve your sound with the elex

Probably, most of these headhones sound good. I just need comfort also.

how is any of the Senn HD series comfort compared to the elex?

The senn is typically reliably comfortable so that’s a safe bet

I prefer the Elex personally, but a lot is personal preference.
The Sennheiser’s are very light, but I find the clamping force excessive, and I hate the shape of the ear pads and the somewhat hard foam.
But lots of people like them so YMMV.

it doesnt have to be reference sound honestly, I want something for everyday use that sounds great and I can wear all day. Then for reference I’ll get something else, or keep the elex.

Well I mean the r70x is a pretty reference headphone tbh, there are other headphones that I think are more fun

I do think the aeon 2 closed would be up your alley then, a balanced sound, awesome comfort and build, can easily recommend. It may be outside of your price range though by a bit

maybe a bit out of price range idk

have you tried the Audeze EL-8?

The el8 is meh to me, decent but not that great. I the the LCD 1 is nice though

The sennheisers 58- & 6-- series generally have a tight clamp out of the box, mine got worn down a fair bit also with pad wear.

But I’ve found that I *still can’t wear them for really long periods ie 6 - 8 hours at a time. The pressure starts to build up on my cheekbones.

Man Google is doing some serious stalking, just when I read this post, this got recommended on YouTube for me. Lol

I mean they’re off by a ‘C’ but. .

Don’t have an elex, but I have 600 and 58x. The pads are really soft and comfortable and the headband isn’t too bad either. The only complain I have is a pretty tight clamp, but it’s not bad enough for me to want to stretch it on books or anything. I can wear either set for a solid 4 hours with pretty much no problems.
