The entire bass range, to me the Aiva has more and better bass
I can easily agree it has better quality bass, but I don’t think it has the quantity of the x2
Check out headphones that are known to do bass really well and you’ll understand the difference. The Aiva has bass, just not much of it.
Yes, any of the fostex biodynas are just awesome for bass lol, a true bassheads delight
Agreed. The Aiva isn’t even close unfortunately.
Yeah, I kinda found it a bit light on bass for planar and the signature it’s going for too
Im not saying it has the best bass ever but there are headphones out there with worse bass lol
For sure, we are mainly just saying that the sendy wouldn’t be the first choice for someone who really likes bass, but the treble detail on the sendy is very good, and also it’s an aggressive and fun sound so it’s more preference
I agree with you MON, its not a bass king. But the fostex go for bass. The Sendy does not. So in its own the bass is not that bad. If you understand.
Sure, but for a 600 dollar headphone and being planar, I expected the Aiva to have more bass. It’s detailed and has very good highs, but its lack of impactful bass is very unsatisfying to me. The Elex is hands down the better choice IMO.
I do prefer the elex bass (well the elex overall vs the sendy), but then again it’s preference
I personally prefer the TR-X00 over the Elex, but the Elex is probably the better overall performer in general. The Aiva is actually not fun for me, it’s slightly painful.
Thanx Papa, the Elex is on my radar tho…
I do like the x00 but if I could only pick one I would most likely take the elex (but I would take my th900mk2 with mods over the elex). I have no issues with the sendy imo, I just think it’s somewhat more of a specialized sound sig
Thanx Guys, i love my Sendy and in the future the Aiva will be on my desk as well
Does the X00 bass bleed into the mids at all?
Not really tbh, it’s pretty well controlled for the impact and how low it reaches. That being said on the mahogany or purpleheard the mids are a bit recessed
I love the Elex. The Elex is probably the closest sounding headphone I have to my profesional studio monitors. It does have a slightly weird timber though, but it is very well extended in all it’s frequencies and very well balanced. So it’s probably a great headphone for studio work.
The Fostex headphones aren’t neutral but fun! They have dynamic slam for days and low end and sub bass to die for with an amazing frequency response and natural sounding timber.
If I want to critically listen to a mix, the Elex & Clear are great go - to headphones that sound great. If I really want to enjoy the hell out of what I’m listening to, I’m reaching for a Fostex or Lawton mod.
Is the Elex bass just as fast as the Sendy? The speed of the Sendy is just insane.
I would say so, the elex is very fast for a dynamic. The elex also have better separation and dynamic range (and also more stuff it does really well lol)
