Just a silly question, didnt read all the posts. You were not sick while trying to test them, like the flue or something. That can influence hearing a great deal. I had the same issue to the poiny that I thought my one driver was failing. Turned out the pressure build up in the ear canal die to the flue.
There absolutely is brain burn in. But hearing actual audible pops is more indicative of USB issues (in my experience).
With planars, once you get a seal you will often hear the driver flex and pop sometimes as well. For that reason alone, I tend to put on my planars slowly and carefully.
That’s true, but I think for some of these tests he wasn’t using USB so idk
It was just one time and it stopped doing it immediately upon repeating the test.
@Deon I just have a weird cough and I’m most likely attributing my issues to it as I had been previously been sick and my partner says she can’t hear a difference.
Ok, well hopefully it was just a random occurrence. Sometimes planars just pop if there is enough air to move the membrane. Seal heavily effects planars, so that is something to always keep in the back of your mind.
do your sendy’s right ear cup feel loose on the bottom side, like it doesnt want to fit to your head unless the strap is pretty tight?
sound wise… the elex kinda destroys the sendys i think, except in bass extension. and maybe the highs are close but the imagining and clarity on the elex is so much better…
and the mids…
Kinda, but I don’t quite get what you mean by that
Yeah, I just think the elex is an excellent headphone for the price
the bottom of the pad doesnt want to clamp to my face
Could be a QC issue, but I would think that would not be the case with such high quality gear.
Hmm, can the cup swivel and rotate the same as the other side?
seems like it but the left side clamps to my face just fine
Hmmm, that’s strange. I wonder if the pads are just still stiff so it doesn’t seal as well
maybe it just feels that the bottom clamp force isnt there
how long did it take for your elex’s to get comfortable?
About like a week of constant listening (but I am going off the clear but it’s identical build)
have you tried them on tubes?
They don’t preform well on tubes from my experience, they end up sounding wonky. It does work pretty well with a hybrid tube amp, but on an otl or set amp it’s not the best imo
