Graphs don’t tell anything about detail, imaging, stage, speed and on and on.
@SCHUMI4EVER was able to compare the K361 & CM, which is cool.
I’d argue that the K371 sounds better than the K361, hence why I keept them.
But seems like the CM is a great option that’s also a bit cheaper.
And I’m not sure if the CM MH751 sounds the same as Takstar 82 Pro.
What’s the sound signature on these? Comfortable and good noise isolation?
If you remember Zeos’ review he said the CM had unique tuning that was between the settings on the Pro82. So no, not identical.
very comfortable. noise isolation is good. the pads are very spongy. they have a little warmer signature to them.
edit: i also own the mh751’s. they are very comfortable headphones. the creative have less cord noise. the mh751 cord can be phonetic. the mh751’s are more detailed. the cals are more fun. i like them both a lot.
I’m gonna leave a snarky comment from oratory1990 when he was asked about the CAL:
“Enough pondering, get the K371, be happy, listen to some sweet music.”
lol
Yeah, between the 361 and the 371 I’d buy the 371, that’s for sure. The thing is, for a budget, which is better between the CM and AKG that also fits in what I’m looking for, that’s the thing…
why neo ? the noir is a more balanced headphone especially in the bass region
Well most said Neo, so I don’t know honestly… I’ll edit it
the cals are also 1/3 the price of the k731’s
i have not heard these, but they get great reviews and are 100$. cheaper when on sale.
and one final comment. my wife took over my mh751’s to use as her daily drivers. i own a lot of headphones. she has many choices ranging from 25$-500$. she wares glasses.
If I’m correct, these are monitoring headphones. I do want accurate headphones, but I’m not sure I want “too” neutral headphones yet…
MDR-7506 had not such good isolation when I was trying potential DJ cans.
Sound was good I think. They don’t look cool, but thats just me haha.
they are technically listed that way. you don’t get that neutral of a headphone at 100$. they are tuned neutral though.
edit: there ya go, not great at isolation. lol
Honestly, it’s just the sound quality that’s preventing me to just call it a day and go with these, some say they’re for gaming, not music; others say they do everything… I know taste is subjective but damn…
I’m not sure if it helps that much with all these different tastes and opinions here.
At some point u gotta jump into cold water or test them at a store.
Yeah isolation is important to me, hahaha thanks anyway.
in my experience, they do rather well at music. they are not bass heavy at all. mids are slightly recessed. top end has a lot of detail for the price point.
edit: and i have said on this forum many times on other posts. they are still the most comfortable headphones i have ever owned. you can use them all day and not know they are on your head.
That’s the problem, I’m not from the US so I can’t just go to a store and try them. I gotta go with what’s the consensus here…
I’m afraid you won’t find consensus here
