I mean, white speakers are rare lol. Maybe the wood is easy to paint.
Lol would be nice
Also the Wharfedale DS1 would probably sound really crisp and clear so would âcomplementâ the Klipsch you already got. Clarity for electronic music is fun. I just donât know if the DS1s are too clear.
These are 2014-2015 speakers, discontinued.
Also huh, DS1s are bluetooth only with just a 3.5mm in⌠worth it? I donât know. Maybe, if they sound as great as other Wharfedales⌠and for headphones and all the other connections youâd get a K5 Pro.
Thereâs no point in âbuying everything twiceâ (and IMHO thatâs what youâd do if youâd get speakers with tons of digital inputs and a DAC).
Otherwise, with the SMSL AD18 (185$ at hifigear) you can power passive speakers. And 400$+ for passive speakers means youâll have a lot more choice. Like Micca RB42s for 150$US/pair.
Edit: Topping MX3 also, but probably not powerful enough.
What u think about these ones https://www.apollohifi.com.au/wharfedale-diamond-11-1-bookshelf-speakers-white-sandex.html
So this thread is now âthe search for white speakersâ.
They will have way too much treble for a computer desk. +5dB above 10khz (cymbals etc). My guess is you donât listen to trance and metal at low volume, lol. Also, theyâre apparently hard to drive. So the AD18 wouldnât be enough either.
Thereâs a ton of ELACs, Jamos and Wharfedales and KEFs on the website though, so thatâs great. Some are even available in white! Heh.

Annnd I donât know anything about these, so Iâll let others guide you to the specific models and specific amps, or you can look at Zeos reviews too (he reviewed both brands).
Man the HIFI guy called and dropped the Klipsch down to $599 hmmmm
Okay I donât know much but, from my own experience (and Zeosâs), the treble might be too much on the wharfedales. The 10.1s were too much for a desktop, definitely. And I got Wharfedale⌠8.1s or something, and I donât like em.
But if you listen to trance/metal, youâd prefer tight bass, so something with a front port. And hereâs the Jamo S803, available in white, with a wide front bass port, and a little boost at 100khz perfect for kick/drums. They would be a tiny bit V-shaped, but apparently the highs are not a problem (I mean thatâs a 5dB V-shape, theyâre basically flat), and theyâre really detailed (according to some people on reddit), so would complement your Klipschs.
And I was right. 3:20 for bass and Zeosâs reaction.
(Also, Jamo is owned by Klipsch).
Think you mite have this mixed up Hmmm
I am just after some nice new speakers for my computer simple 2.0 and 2.1 in the long run
cheers
Apparently they do work as well as desktop speakers too. Too much bass for you?
Edit: Theyâre small, but powerful AF.
Ok narrowed it down to
Kanto yu6
Klipsch R15 pm
Both around the $599 Au price tag
Could say they are not.
I mean even JBL 305 has whiteâs and for special price you can basically get anything in white. Made for you but thatâs another story.
Harder to find something like Purple ones in stock color.
Wrapping and painting are easy options as well.
Well think my wife has given in and doesnât care any more black or white just not wood grain lol
Can u hook the topping mx3 up to the Klipsch r15 pm for the headphone amp and volume control
Uh⌠Klipsch R15PM are active speakers, with USB and Optical inputs, and a remote!
You donât need the mx3 at all.
Yeh I know that but am I able to connect to it so I can u it as a volume control instead of the remote
Nope, you would need something else with RCA pre-outs. Which means, using another DAC, or simply, a Mackie big knob passive between your internal sound card and your speakers.
So go for the YU6s
