guys anyone can you please provide me with great eq settings for rock/metal

What track is this exactly? And this much ā€˜rumble’ is not natural. They seem to be running beyond their physical parameters.

Give us the name of the track - let me check what I hear.

Didn’t think so, prodigy works great on my, but i still don’t like the midrange, but everything else is great. Midrange here is too cold, lacking warmth. They sounds like I’m listening music in the box, i think that is because of cups design. And i think headband is the issue for me, not enough clamp, thinking of selling these and get the Ananda for 599… Not decided yet.
Or maybe get Audeze lcd-x as endgame

Mine doesn’t do that at all and I’m running with IFI Zen Can with xbass turned on ^^

No issues with headband on xs? How is the midrange on Ananda compare to XS?

There is a lot of sub bass at the start there on that track, very audible even outside the cups but mine doesn’t sound like that recording.

for me xs is better at everything except stage width

yeah i cant hear when i actually listening on my head its just when i remove it listen its like subwoofer

When you say can’t hear the rumble, you should still be feeling and hearing a serious rumble when on your head, and I mean ALOT ^^ on that track. It’s a bass monster.

somehow i can feel it not hear it its like subwoofer

That one sounds like sub bass kick to me, just less than the prodigy track. I can kind of get that if you turn mine way up past my comfort level. You should be feeling and hearing that level of bass though when it’s on your head.

If you are used to normal open back headphones, the amount of sub bass the EDXS can generate can be very surprising. I’m used to non neutral IEM’s like the MELE so it sounds correct to me, maybe that’s it?

this is happening mostly on industrial metal and techno

Both of which have lots of sub bass, most open backs struggle with because it’s typically very rolled off. In fact the EDXS is my first open back that presents sub bass levels similar to the IEM world.

indeed actually i am impressed amount of kick it can produce on sub bass heavy tracks

gonna be nice when I actually get to check this headphone out… lots of good reviews from a great many people, not as mixed as gl2k. Surprised to see its quite impactful too
