Hifiman HE6SE For $700

It’s why I would always back my desk up against a wall if I had your setup. NEVER face out for anyone to see

Just think of how satisfying it will be to Clean all that up.

One day. Maybe… Once I have my endgame setup, I will finalize the wiring (never happening)

I should post that pic in the “Show us your endgame” photo thread

are those your spooderco knifes?

Yeah, there’s a spyderco or 2 in the pyle

My brain just doesn’t work that way. My girlfriend handles that kind of stuff, but she won’t touch any wires. In fairness, I shot that pic with max flash but it’s a pretty dark corner, so no one but me knows how bad it really is

Well there’s some organization I don’t think I can match

Nice I use to work at the golden co factory for a few years if you ever see the number 1441 in the lower right hand corner that was my builder id #

That’s awesome. I have a few spydercos, but that pic may scare you more :stuck_out_tongue:

I always like seeing spiders in the wild.

Ironically, I found out about massdrop for their blades and kitchen stuff, and now I almost only go there for audio:

M8, the THX 789 puts out 3.5 watts at the balanced out. In your experience, you reckon that would power the HE6SE well enough?

This doesn’t answer your question, or mine but it is a good article that gives us direction.

No imo. Even something like the emotiva basx a100 with the jumpers removed really isn’t enough. You want lots and lots of power. If you don’t plan on investing on a good powerful speaker amp (or already have one) I think there are better options out there for headphones. The real cost of the he6 comes from the amp you need to drive it from. It does work on the 789, but it really doesn’t sound that great

In doing further research, i have read about folks using hybrid amplifiers, class A, and plenty of AB power amps to push the cans. Now i am curious would hi quality class D amplification be acceptable to push these, I’m talking 100-200watts at 8ohm per channel. Hmmm?
