Got my 3 replacements in the mail today. God I missed theseā¦
and on a side note, fuck UPS for leaving them sitting on my porch with no signature.

can confirm hifiman has shitty QC, just checked my he6se v2 and it has stuck drivers. I posted pictures of mine a few months ago and it was perfectly fine sigh guess i gotta contact hifiman

yeah itās pretty stupid. i had 2 pairs sitting in their boxes safely in my closet and they just slowly drooped into the magnet and stuck. they were supposed to be backups but they failed with absolutely nothing happening to them. iāve heard itās possible to seal a pad up against the outside and press air into it by cupping your hand over the pad and squeezing but it sounds sketchy lol. if this happens again to me iām demanding hifiman cover shipping because this is just ridiculous. that being said, they still DID cover an out of warranty pair so thatās pretty cool of them.

I have had a good experience with Hifiman customer services. My XS were DOA. The seller on Ali Express was being very difficult so I contacted Hifiman directly. They hit me back quick and said, āTry to not buy from unauthorised Hifiman retailers. Weāll help you out; send it to our UK offices and weāll ship a fresh set.ā
Whole thing took a little over a week. They didnāt have to do that but it gave me confidence to buy from them, even with the concerns and inconvenience of ropey QC.

well if the shipper didnāt request signature required the they canāt do anything about it

Maybe a dumb question but when they stick you get no sound or just bad sound?
the bass is less dynamic sounds more compressed and the treble is less extended but it still makes sound
Weird thing is when warranty asks you to send it in, they said donāt include the box. but if i donāt have it in box, wonāt the whole headphone get ruined in shipping? so weird lolā¦
did you send them back in with original unit in the original packaging and do they send the replacement unit back in a new box?
Iām wondering if mine are stuck. Iām not getting the great bass everyone talks about.
My great bass is dictated by cranking up the bass boost on my iFi. 
Just bad sound, no bass whatsoever and weird highs.
But yeah there are a number of reasons why you may experience lack of bass. Amp is #1.
I use them on a Burson soloist. I tried them on a emotiva 150x150 with attenuator but that was on my first pair. The left side went silent so I didnāt use the speaker amp again.
Seal is a big issue and if youāre getting a full seal bass drops pretty significantly and the honeycomb grills let them breathe a little and theyāll slam harder without all that pressure build up behind the driver. If you have a DAC with volume control or a preamp with volume control, putting the soloist in high gain volume bypass mode really helps with slam as well but none of this matters if the driver is stuck so Iād check that first.
I have the honeycomb grills on them. Right now Iām using the ares2 and I also have the bifrost 2 but no volume control. I have a topping d70 I could try. It has volume control. Do you think that would match the Burson?
I have a Lokius between my Bifrost 2 and Soloist. But you can use Equalizer APO on your computer and just add a bass shelf. I also torn out the ring from the hifiman pads and use perforated Eikon pads from ZMF.
could try a passive preamp. thatās the route i went. i used a nobsound ns-05p for a long time and it worked pretty well. DAC pairing is more of a preference thing but the d70 should work fine, but if you have DACs you like more Iād think that a preamp might be the better option so you can retain the qualities of the ares 2 and bf2 (and even have them both plugged in at the same time so you can switch between them if you want) and still have volume control.

I have a schiit saga+ but I would lose the xlr option.
You have one of the best amps for the HE6 then, i use the LittleBear MC2 as preamp so i can use the poweramp mode on the Soloist myself, highly recommend it that setup.
Other than that, if your drivers are not stuck you may want to try some EQ, that is what i do to get the bass i like, these handle bass EQ like champs!
