Is it possible to replace home theater with headphones like aryas which have a great soundtage and amazing bass?

Coming from the other direction, what think im hearing is you can have your cake and eat it soon as headphones adapt to the format. tech is driving the change, some kind of monster. Either this is ipod quadrophonic or were speeding up toward the singularity. Stuff is getting kookie.
How the mix folds down is another issue.
