When I bought my Polk SDA’s they came with custom plexiglass covers for protection when not in use. I always thought about painting them with something cool, but when I moved to WA they got busted up in the process. I wonder how much those must have cost the original owner.

Bookshelf speakers can go on bookshelves. Hide them in books and they won’t be prominent.

Speakers have always been considered plant stands in my household growing up.

They are going to go on speaker stands after all. There is a hocker (a thing you can put your legs on) at the end of the sofa that always blocks one speaker, depending on which side of the sofa you’re on. Only way to fix that is to make sure the speakers are higher than the sofa. They do sound much better now that they’re off the ground, just need to find a nice pair of stands about 50cm in height. For now this will suffice though

Stylish also aides in harmonics :+1:. But my suggestion stands if those wharfedales arent too heavy. Stuck some klipsch R15s on top just fine.

The only way I can have speakers in the living room that my wife accepts is to hang them on the wall on each side of the TV. Not ideal for harmonics but I can enjoy my Q100 daily. I’ll take it (WAF for the win)

first picture i could find representing the idea. if you get a center like this, the bottom right and left cubby you could put your speakers in with acoustically transparent material in front. alternately, you could get a pair of skinny bookshelves and do the same.

you can also get a deep center and put them behind the tv, upside down so the tweeter blasts underneath the tv. not ideal, but better then on the floor i would think sound wise. woofers don’t really care about placement, but tweeters kind of do. if you got the room to hide em behind it anyways.
