I think I want to try a different integrated

That settles it I think… the triangle’s have really smooth treble and I’m really enjoying these for easy listening and I’m hopeful a preamp will get it just about where I want it :crossed_fingers: I think the saga + is what I’ll go for at half the the price of the freya + it wont break the bank to try

Yeah if the saga + doesn’t do it for you, I think the only way to go from there would be different speakers or a full on tube amp lol

I’ll update this thread at a later date lol

Thanks folks

Yes it is “just more neutral” but a silky-smooth kind of neutral. It just never gets agressive like a Yamaha.
You don´t want no sparkel just not too much.
In my experience the work well to calm down agressive tweeters.

well no… there is a lot of neutral or even bright tube amps / equipment out there but they tend to be smoother than SS

Yesss … ererybody should just go buy Harbeth or Graham
I´m very trebele sensetive but the ammount of treble isn´t realy the problem. I can turn down an AMT tweeter and still get annoyed. I often think it has more to do with the tweeter design, the used ampliferers (smoothness, distortion) and sources (aressive DACs, unplesent Phono Carts) than the actuall tweeter level.
Dynaudios work for me but they lack a bit of extension. All the BBC stuff is just great.
More midds make the treble less annoying annyway.
Harbeth Monitor 30.1 are blod, warm and great. Graham Chartwell LS6 are a more clear, neutral BBC that lookes deeper into the recording but still are fun.
Sadly I cant compare them to triangle because I have nerver heard them.

make sure to order a selection of quality russian tubes to play arround with
… maybe this will work for you becaus your Yamaha isn´t bad

That is true but I wonder it it will be enough smoothness to satisfy

I’ll keep this in mind and I already feel good about working with and not moving away from the yamaha
