Yeah, the ā€œofficialā€ answer has always been that it doesnā€™t permanently damage the drivers, but I have my doubts. With all of the new driver materials coming out, I donā€™t think anyone can truly say that driver flex wonā€™t damage any of them. Either way, the prudent thing is to try to avoid causing it as much as possible.

My first pair of BL03s developed a severe channel imbalance suddenly. I had already owned if for a while. It never resolved, and Iā€™m a bit suspicious that driver flex MAY have caused it. But I donā€™t know for sure.

Not sure Iā€™ve ever experienced this honestly. I have oh10s, bl03s, tin t2s, Jade ea3s, and final e3000. I have it00s on the way so we will see.

My bl03 had the same driver flex issue, but no issues with an imbalance or driver issues.

My set came in. Can already say Iā€™m happy with this purchase. Using with dekoni foam tips right now because theyā€™re my default for fit, but I will be trying out some others that I have here at a later date. Sounds excellent balanced off the hiby r5.

I first tried them with the stock tips and I did experience the driver flex, however they fall out of my ears with the stock tips anyway. With the dekoni foams, no driver flex issues.

I like these enough already that I think Iā€™ll be selling my oh10s, which is a big deal for me.

Have you tried removing the nozzle filter mesh?

Itā€™s been on my to-do list for a while. Iā€™ve been distracted with all of the shiny new IEMs on the market.

Still no channel imbalance on my new IT00. But Iā€™m babying the hell out of them, (not pushing them very hard and I try inserting them into my ears without causing driver flex).

The IT00 is a very good sounding and performing IEM. It has a balanced FR and is very fast. I just hope the physical issues were isolated issues. Still difficult to recommend though especially when the FH3 exists.

Iā€™ve used and ā€˜abusedā€™ mine from day 1, 40+ hrs use, still get massive driver flex but still no problems :metal:

My pair developed an imbalance roughly 30 hours of listening in, Iā€™m now at the 100 mark and they are perfect with no signs of imbalance, never had this issue with other pairs of IEMs other than when they have a faulty cable but Iā€™m glad I kept hold of them

:open_mouth:ā€¦when did they (hrs wise) come back to being channel balanced again?

Keep giving me hope! I really enjoy this set for a less V shaped signature.

Soā€¦ They worked their way out of the channel imbalance? Seriously???

Yeah, I mean I think it was a problem with my connection honestly, but moving the wires around did nothing, was listening to a SACD rip from a friend at the time and thought Jesus this sounds awful yet the problem persisted with other songs, unplugged them, sent an email to the supplier about it. Next day plugged them in did a sine sweep and found 0 faults been listening to them since and had no problems, havenā€™t had any driver flex or any of the other problems discussed above either, like I said Iā€™ve never had this happen before.

Interesting. You have me thinking I should pull out the bad IT00s and run them to see if they can work themselves out.

Do it lolā€¦

Just thinking about the imbalance issues again, took another look at the shell construction and was thinking maybe the bonding between the face plate and shell could be the problemā€¦a seal break there caused by pressure/driver flex might well be the answer?

Ugh, the more Iā€™m hearing about these, the more I start to question how worth my time they areā€¦

Trying the FH3 cable on the IT00. The channel imbalance still exists. If I run these for a few days and it continues, I think Iā€™ll just toss them. IBasson doesnā€™t seem to want them back.

Did you try swapping to the other pair of nozzle filters? This sounds like it might be the same problem that BLON BL03, Moondrop, and many others have with moisture.

Itā€™s not. I havenā€™t put these in my ears for weeks and the problem persists.

I just tried removing the nozzles and the channel imbalance is still there. Tried replacing them too and no go.
