IEM discussion thread (Part 1)

So… I got 3 IEMs that I just have to have besides me, so I’m looking for a case that will fit 3 iems (with their own cables, so 3x1.2m cables and ideally also will fit the earstudio es100.

I use now a case from tri:

But it only fits 2 IEMs. Can anyone recommend me something that will fit 3?

Thanks

Maybe :man_shrugging:

I’m not sure what it’s called, but the style/shape of case that comes with both the Reecho x Peacock Spring and Audio Lokahi might fit the bill. I’ll try to post it later if I can find it.

This is a case for IEMs plus DAP, but it looks like it could comfortably carry 3 sets: SHANLING C3 Storage Box for Portable mp3 Players M0 M1 M3S M5S — HiFiGo

Which one do you like the most currently?

For “fun” listening - green andro
For “analytical” listening - ara

andro s is ‘in between’, i like it the least

So, the amazon basic case:

It easily fits 6 iems plus earstudio es100.

It’s not huge so I kinda like it, it fits to my backpack easily.

It looks OK too. I’m quite happy.

I will need to figure out the best way how to put IEMs in and out from the box with least cable tangling. Any tips welcomes

You could try reusable Velcro cable ties:

I got plenty of those, but it takes a bit too long for me to properly tie the cable with it and then when taking iems off the case to untie it.

Thinking of trying out these to see if they work quicker and better than the velcro jobbies

TROVE Cable Clip: Red – TROVE.CC

This might be useful too depending on the size of the cables…

The one I bought have similar “rubber elastic spacers” I just seem to be too stupid to use it properly

the velcro would stick to the case,
not recommended,

Just ordered some cheaper option for those magnets as this idea seems cool:
