A less techy review

And Try those ePro tips on the Timeless :ok_hand:

Tonight I’m diving deep into those tips, my man! Definitely going to throw them on the timeless for sure. Maybe they’ll fix the fit issues I had. Haven’t touched em since I put the monarch’s in ears, admittedly  thanks again, I’m going to watch this review now :call_me_hand:

Do you know where I can get one of those golden adapter things?

That’s a regular cable with an L shape connector!

Update. Tips are on but it was a slight wrestling match lol. I can report they sound great, at least as good as the little Tube tips I’ve been using from the Timeless, but a little more comfortable which is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again, man! I can also report, damn… I forgot how amazing of a set the Timeless is. Truly detail monsters for the $200 asking price. They compete with the Monarchs for sure. But the Monarchs got em beat in everything else.

Pulled the trigger on Yanyin Canon!
Now I just need someone to buy my Aladdin and Oxygen to help me pay off my credit card bill :joy::joy:

I’m glad I off loaded my FH7’s a year ago as there’s at least a couple on UK eBay for quite a bit less than I got for mine  lol.

Whoever sold the FH7 made a big mistake… King up to $ 1,000 are

My impressions of the new FiR Audio NE4.

If the Qudelix 5k + Yanyin Canon ($130+$310) that are on their way do anything significantly better than the FiiO BTR5 + Penon Serial ($60 + $200) that I have now, I’ll be both impressed and pleased, because that would have to sound completely next level. And if they don’t, I will save a lot of money, and still be very happy with where my SQ is at.

Having a great time with the former.

Woah the Penon has 3 DDs? I’m intrigued… What tuning signature would you say the Serial lean towards? Also curious to how it compares in-terms of timbre and tech with other sets like Oxygen, Tea, etc :slightly_smiling_face:

Totally off topic to the current, but has anyone on here had the opportunity to hear both the Monarch MKII and the Mest MKI? There’s a Mest for sale for an almost unbelievable price and I’ve always been curious but I already own the Mons.

Any input will be appreciated!

I’m biased since I’ve only heard the MEST, but if the MEST if available at an ass good of the price as you say it is, then it is a no-brainer.

Nice seieng FiR stuff getting some mentions here as well! I have the VxV and love it.

This 625$ Mest on HF did not let me sleep. Luckily my colleagues are leaving US before it is able to be shipped to them without risk, so I cannot buy it. But as it is discontinued and (in my strong belief) the cheapest IEM that can give me strong wow factor above Mangird Tea if I would be in US that would be a no brainer for me definitely

And hopefully and end game.

Yea my thought exactly. It’d be nice to have two flagship IEMs but not if they’re too close in tonality and techs. I’ve heard that the Mest has this incredible stage and imaging and I’d like to experience that over the Mons. For $625 it would absolutely be a no brainer for me IF I hadn’t just purchased the Mons. Hmmmm

Right, it would normally be a no brainer honestly. I’m hoping someone who’s heard both can shed some light.

So I’m currently going through a bad experience with an AliX seller. I wish I could’ve avoided them in the first place. I know HBB gave some advice for what to check in AliX seller profiles in his last year’s 11.11 sales video, but do you all think it’d be useful to create a list of sellers that we recommend or don’t recommend? On a specific thread, like ā€œList of recommended audio gear sellersā€? Did a brief search and didn’t find one on hifiguides, but someone please correct me if I’m wrong! E.g., DUDO, XINHS, DD-Audio have all been great.
