Hi All, I currently enjoying S12, Olina, BLON BL01ā¦looking to add Penon to my collection.
Filtered down to Serial or ORBā¦I recently heard sound demo of the two in youtube and it seems I liked ORB more it seems to have some magic.
Though the treble is smoothedā¦I love the bass and overall thick sound of ORB.
Should I go with ORB than Serial? Will there be any 11.11 type of sale in Penon?

Many many thanks to @Sonofholhorse for the R3 Pro with only 2.5mm working ā itāll be a huge help in lowering the overall budget I can finish up on, source taken care of.
- When Iām on the move, itās a quick booting BT receiver with great battery life.
- If I want to go distraction free or my phone is drained, itās a stand alone player
- If Iām staying say down for a while, I can pigtail it to my phone
Nothing Iād need to improve on as far as sound quality goes.
Pairing with the [shock, horror!] Penon Serial, with its stock cable actually.
In my classroom between student teacher conferences. I designed the glide reflection tessellation in the background!

Howās the battery life? Iāve been thinking of what an upgraded source for my Q5K would be and you hit all the points Iām looking for
I havenāt used any timers or run it down for a truly accurate test, but I can say in my daily use that with Q5K or BTR5 2021 I would quite often see a less than half, or third, or less battery and be forced to charge while using in the evening. I want to say sometimes within a day? Also worth noting that the Q5K had the āonly charge to 80%ā setting on, which affects proportions.
I think about charging far less with the Hiby, after two days I might hit 60ish. I havenāt once had to charge from running too low, Iām pretty sure I havenāt been below 40% yetā¦ maybe partly because Iāve done a lot of single ended listening. Thereās no trouble charging at my convenience (rather than being forced to) every 2-3 days of use so Iāve never really gone lower. If itās turned off it holds charge great in standby. Barely any drop off after weeks. The standby part is probably true of the receivers too though.

Nice. I wonder how the Meteor competes with the SA6 Ultra. Same price.
SA6 Ultra is a 6 driver Multi BA and the Meteor is a 4 driver multi BA.
Very good impressions of both at the moment. Maybe multi BA is making a small comeback?
Is the Oracle MKII better than the OG? Iāve always found it odd how thereās so little reviews on the Oracle and especially on the MKII

$110?! Thatās a mistake. Similar tuning to the rest of the marry bunch around $80 but with a $30 premium? Tough sell. According to @Timmy-Gizaudio It is a marginal improvement over the others but keeping it at $80 would of been a no brainer.
If you couldnāt get to $60 and T2 DLC, it shouldāve been $70 at most, and split the difference.
Why should anyone buy that at $110?
