$560 is a good price. But I think that a new one should not be sold for 800 dollars, that is a very high price. In my opinion, a new one should be priced around $650-700, and a used one at most $500-550. That’s why I said it’s a complicated question!
Gotcha and thanks
So what new sets have the same characteristics of the og EJ07?..I don’t want sets with boosted fq responses (I already have them) in that price point?
I too have always been curious about EJ OG, about that infamous soundstage. But… maybe I will never buy them, because there is no second-hand market for them here, new ones are very expensive.
That’s right. Maybe that’s why they’re holding on to this price.
They may ask more, but I think $500-600 is a good price, with <$500 being a friendly price.
Uk market is mostly either overpriced compared to the US or you get crazy good ebay auction deals on non speaker gear Availability of second hand stuff is usually pretty bad too
We’ve got a graph for the Hidizs MS5. Hmm?
Yep they declined a $500 offer
I’d take a pair of OG EJs for around that price. Tried em at CanJam and they are what everyone says they are. Very neutral with a large sound stage and tbh, an addicting sound sig. at least to me. I hope that one day I’ll grab an opportunity to hear them in a better environment, but even on the loud showroom floor, I felt that they were special.
Very unique, and very V-Shaped. What are your thoughts? I know you were eyeing them before that price tag revealed itself.
$550 special? lol
Z1R for U12T…
Plus money, right? We’re not doing that as an even trade right?
That treble nozzle looks like it might be too hot for me, but the lack of pinna gain might balance that out some? I would say that a balanced nozzle that brings the treble down COULD be interesting.
I’m definitely NOT gonna be the guinea pig for $450-500 though.
I would say yeah $600-700 hundy.
I wouldn’t trade my Z1R even with ++ for that set…No DD no
If IEM prices continue to rise:
No more than $550 imo since they go on sale a lot.
It’s a weird thing: Name-brand and boutique brands (your Dunu, Penon, this Hidizs, Letshuoer, etc.) prices are higher than the market dictates.
These untested chi-fi brands (7Hz this time last year, Aful, Juzear, Sound Rhyme etc.) are crashing the party and moving the market downward.
It’s a fun time to be alive in the hobby!
