IEM discussion thread (Part 1)

How do the Serials compare to the Vortex interms of shell size? I have the Vortex but always find them to be a tad small for my ears. I need to use XL tips to get a good seal. I’ve been curious about the Serials for some time now and would likely pull the trigger if I saw a used set. Just wanted to get a sense of fit.

TIA!

The Serial are quite a bit bigger. I’d say say Serials are medium-large out of sets I’ve tried, while Vortex would definitely be a small.

Thanks! Any tips you’ve liked?

For the most time I’ve used M and L ePro horns, for the last few months though almost exclusively Dunu S&S tips (I’d have to check which size). I can also recommend JVC SpiralDots and Final E tips.

I would love to get someones take on Serial vs Legato who has them both. From my memory of the Serial the treble came off muted but the bass texture was phenomenal. They were hard to let go but they helped me discover that I prefer more treble than I thought

Hopefully I can do that this weekend if the Legato shows up tomorrow and then if not its next weekend.

I will shoot a video on my youtube channel.

Gotta give the Legato a few days burning in just to be fair.

Me talking about not settling and letting Tangzu get away with the scam

TangZu Audio and Angeldac Audio store on AliExpress agreed to refund my shipping for the misleading sale of the See Audio x Tangzu.

Please think about accepting a budget iem and a set of eartips as compensation for this!

My shipping was $32 Canadian
This should teach Tangzu for cheating consumers.

The “Real Version” has 0.01% of a carbon dusting on the driver and not going to make one smidget of difference.

This IEM is still bieng sold in stores and Tangzu is making money off of cheating you and I.

Don’t settle

Feel free to share.

I have to wonder, are the JVC Spiral Dots ++ are a good combination with the Heydays? Currently on a tip rolling streak lately to try out just to somehow improve an IEMs’ sound, tuning or even comfort.

Aaaand another demo package arrived :star_struck::package:

Joined for FH7s but also curious if there is much of a difference between my Kinda Lava with bass boost and the OG EJ07m

And another +$1k flagship set…they keep coming for ya :dollar:

It’s not going to be easy to stomach sending that much money to Hiby for an IEM… that’s not where their strength has lain as of yet.

This is a complicated question. But I think around $650 is fine! :sunglasses:

How so?

So if I can snag that set for say £450 then it should be a good deal?

I’ve always been interested in this set…curiosity killed the cat or at least his bank balance

I totally misread mint for mini …. It’s still early, don’t @me. But honestly I’d say 450 is a solid price, even if it isn’t USD.

Aye it be GBP so circa $560 :man_shrugging: and I don’t see many of them on the used market here in the UK.
