I don’t like the iPhone OS and recently sold mine, but I have to admit that the AirPods Pro are very good headsets. If they had better resolution they would be at the top of the league. This is not just an opinion. I think @VIVIDICI_111 thinks too, but he’s busy making memes now …
or go for the TRN BT20XS
I dont think you can take the graphs for any of the airpods seriously as I believe they have some function to change sound based on your ears.
they have a muddy v shape sound signature, faaar from top leagues.
bass shelf goes to 1k, not enough eargain, no upper treble from 8k to 15k
it will sound like those old 5$ sony buds you used to buy 10 15 years ago . for resolution you need a clean midrange, moderate ear gain to sharpen transients and good upper treble and this bud has none of that.
I believe Powerbeats sit slightly outside of the ear canal, which is how they let you hear your surroundings more easily. With that treble, I imagine shoving them into my ear like an iem would look something like this:
Hmm it wasn’t quite right to my ears, but you are right about some things. We are talking about wireless IEMs here after all. The DD they use is not bad, but the FR needs to be improved. By the way, graphics aren’t everything!
its actually the opposite, the deeper fit you get with a in ear, the smoother the treble gets.
but anyways the fit is the main issue beside the overly peaky treble response it seems.
Tried adjusting my iems further out to various degrees, and I did perceive the sound more piercing then! Interesting Or does it just seem like it cause the rest of the spectrum gets murdered comparatively when outside the ear canal
No LDAC and I remember from your review that they hiss with sensitive IEMs?
nope
The issue is that the bass clips in stock, and you need to lower the preamp yourself (easily done if u use local music).
I think this is the 6th week I used them and they are STILL alive. Crazy battery performance.
(also dropped them 2-3 times from head height and no damage seemingly.)
weird, deeper fit makes the treble response of any of my in ears to sound smoother and better balanced.
Hmm I stream so will that be an issue?
yeah, rip then. Spotify doesnt have any preamp settings.
Thanks for the suggestion still. I tried out the UTWS3 with my set and I’m not a fan of the single button approach.
Crin did a good job with TWS reviews. I can confirm the xm3 fr is good and when you blast it working out, running etc., it does a pretty good job. If you slap your head around too much I could see them falling out which is why maybe the 1 decent beats tws may be good for head movement. For add on units for tws my brother had some trn ones and he did not like the volume level so making sure you get enough power to a given set may be a limiting factor.
Just want to say DO NOT buy UTWS5 for LDAC just yet. To say there are some issues is putting it very nicely for Fiio
Any news on the new Ikko OH10S?
