Has anyone used/got thoughts on the Fiio BTR11 or BTR13?

Any user experience info most welcome. Thanks

Strongly considering a BTR13 soon, I’ll share impressions if I go ahead with it!

For the cost I have nothing to complain about the BTR11, been a work companion last weeks. I can notice it lacking some control compared to some cheap dongles, probably due to less power available.

Still it can drive planars line S12 at around 70-80% volume, but volume is not everything.

I’d never heard of the BTR11. Seems a lot cheaper for just skipping the 4.4mm port but of course that isn’t all that was skipped. In their own literature, this sounds like way lower power than I’ve heard of in a long time: “With a built-in high-performance independent ear amplifier and an output power of up to 45mW (16Ω)”. 45mW at 32Ω would be low!

Great price and features for everyday folks listening to everyday buds, although it’s rare for everyday folks to be using wired in the first place and a TWS set that would fit their needs would only be $20 itself.

BUT BUT BUT…

45mw looks so fast

Thanks chap - very interesting - yeah my use case is similar - perhaps a little more for the bag casual IEM emergency prep :joy:

Do you happen to know if it has PEQ through the app? Or even if it uses the Fiio app?

 must be the speed limit in Tron!

Will try and check when home later :+1:

Thanks again - much appreciated

Nope, only option in the fiio app is to update the firmware.

It’s weird as the cheap JA11 is able to use PEQ.

Strange decision as the BTR13 probably has enough difference to justify the upsell from the BTR11 without the PEQ difference.

Shame - would have been nice to see it here but then again for €20 I am asking a lot also
Still may pick one up - gives me heavy “in the summer” use vibes (which I will now bottle for 8 or so months until next summer) :joy:

Have you considered the Quedelix 5K, or do you want the 4.4mm balanced? The 5K is such a great product :fire:

IMO, as the 11 does not have PEQ I would go for the 13. That alone is the dealbreaker on the 11 for me.

BTR13 looks better on paper to me honestly. qudelix software should be a lot better still though.

Thanks for the suggestion - the Q5K is great - my interest is mainly in finding an alternative after all these years of it’s dominance… So pretty much what @Rikudou_Goku was saying about the spec - along with it being a little cheaper - we may finally have a potential rival to the Q5K (which does feel a little old in the tooth) if they can invest in better software (where the Q5K has traditionally pulled ahead).

So wondered how it fares as a complete package.

Pretty sure I am going to pick the BTR13 up on 11.11.

But you know what’s it’s like - was buying something in the Choice sale and needed to add some stuff to the cart to get coupons :joy: so BTR11 suddenly looked very appealing.

Add the JA11 to the list and you get PEQ with your speakers.
(is what Im using with my Aiyima S400 speakers atm)

@ohmboy You are the Mod. I want you to observe
@shuoer You are the person who repped during the Kinda Lava
@ToneDeafMonk You made some accusations of unprofessional behavior. Please elaborate. You are welcome to share any contacts from me to support your thesis.
If @shuoer is not able to recall 2 years ago clearly. This is Jason, the guy who sent a DM claiming you said, Letshuoer would slime me if I went public that the retune was not what I had requested. You said, you had no idea how Letshuoer would even go about doing that (sliming me) …as the engineer went rogue. That should jog the memory

Jason, I’d like you to not dodge or change topics. We can and will talk about KZ and Fatfreq after this easy one has been sorted. Bet on that
Share the mails with Letshuoer and me.

So the company that approached me, and re-tuned…a collab?..was going to call me out?
About what exactly?
Somebody is telling a lie.
Don’t get personal with insults, don’t change the topic. Everyone is watching.
You got me showing no concern?
(Drop that screenshot)
You didn’t lie…right? You must have Letshuoer telling you they are gonna come after me.
(Rep said nah…so he is lying or you are?..drop that Screeny)
You don’t support companies manipulating the message by hook or by crook do you?
Drop the screenshot
slow-motion

After we all see…I mean all of us…who told a lie you can pick Fatfreq or KZ next. You clearly are behind on those 2 so pick whichever.
I am waiting for that screenshot of @shuoer saying they are going to come at me. I’d love to see for what.

Bad news folks, it’s been like a week now and there is still no reply from Letshuoer regarding about the warranty of my S08s. Looks like I am gonna have to open this left ear piece up to see what was causing the drivers to not working anymore, for it sucks for this IEM is one of my favorites this year.

I don’t know what to do anymore, I might as well buy a newer IEM instead as a replacement to this like an AFUL Performer 5 or even the Explorer. Man, it just sucks that my S08, have to get broken like that.
