Getting, getting kinda desperate lol…

I guess that’s the ā€œreal priceā€ if that makes sense.

If I remember right is this the set made by a cable company that came with no cable? I didn’t remember it having such an expensive start. Good luck to them…

That’s it. The cable is purchased separately. According to most reviews, the weak point of this IEM is the staging and resolution, which is pretty much everything I expect from a modern IEM. I’m writing this with Estrella in my ears and I can’t stop marveling at how good she is. Amen :frog:

Guess it was that bad then lol.

That upper-treble does look bad but in open back stuff you dont really need as much gain there so that should be fine. However i dont like that pinna, its too much.

man if this was like 2 months ago I would’ve said whatever I’d buy it but after hearing Cadenza I realized I wasn’t a big fan of that much gain now that I’ve heard more sets

I might grab one on sale but for now it’s on backburner then

Yeah that doesnt look good and even though in an open back I wouldnt really translate their graph 1:1 to other iems, this still is kinda meh and especially when its just a 10mm DD…where is my Sony EX800st/1000 chifi copy???

@Rikudou_Goku I started using my Sony A3 to watch movies and man the bass hits deep. I watched The Creator last night; the bass and the blasters sound so good.

been reading reviews all over the place about s12 pro and s08 and still cant decide which one I wanna get during 11.11. For the s12 pro I have concern about the more recessed mids and too bright treble and with the s08 I’m concerned about the bass making the mids and trebles dull. Since the S08 is newer, does it use a newer driver, which eventhough smaller is better than the driver in s12 pro? And both should take eq well right?

The S08 uses the newest Planar (afaik) has a double sided voice coil. Seems to be pretty DD-like and is what I have seen most people say about the recent planars with this driver.

They are both planars so will handle PEQ fine. But im guessing that the S08 driver has a slower attack/decay which is hard to compensate with PEQ.

I looked at the product page and they explain what the mechanism of attachment is. Gotta be magnetic right? I like this innovation.

so i guess s12 pro would be the safer choice to eq in case the tuning kinda not what i like

Depends on what you prefer. If you want something more planar-like, then I believe the S12 Pro will be better but if you want something more DD-like the S08 should be it.

the amount of nice iems in this price range really tempts me. its gonna be s12 pro, s08 or aful explorer i think for me. i love fun engaging set with good vocals and trebles while maintaining decent bass thump. lets see which one goes on sale the lowest on 11.11

S08 should have better bass. If it is more similar to a DD then the note-weight should be thicker than on the S12 as well as slower, which IMO is much more natural and will be better for mids/treble as well.

But I havent heard those 3 u mentioned so…
