I havent really seen many talk about the H lineup at all so I probably would not spend more than 50 usd for it tbhâŚespecially when I have seen the A3 being sold for like 150 usd and i myself bought the A3 for around 200 usd.
Same with those Zishan Daps, really cheap sources and powerful but really terrible OI, so yeah I would say it is true to a degree that power can be the cause of colored outputâŚat least in the budget area.
Buy it next week during the sale and pick up the Fiio JA11 while you are at it, this way you can easily setup a PEQ preset on the JA11 and when you need it, simply switch to the JA11 input.
Welcome to the 11.11 madness𤣠Definitely worth keeping an eye on HiFiGo if they can help dodge that 25% VATâmakes a big difference. Iâd say start by listing out your top picks across Ali, HiFiGo, and Linsoul, then watch for flash sales or coupons at each. Ali can be great for big discounts, but sometimes itâs worth paying a little extra on HiFiGo or Linsoul for quicker shipping or VAT savings.
As was requested by another user, since I have almost all of the Symphonium Gems in hand (or in my glove?), here is a visual side-by-side for size comparison:
I did my best to kinda angle them so that they all appear âhead-onâ to the camera. As far as I can tell, Titan, Europa and Crimson are identical shells with Europa having the extended nozzle w/lip. STORM is a thick boi and has more of an âupsweptâ nozzle that is also a tad thicker but the design language is otherwise the same. They all sound great, of course.
2 and 4 (Europa and Crimson) are FAR closer than most would suspect, with Crimson being a little more spicy and Europa being more mid-focused. Titan I would say is more of an L-shape but still capable for non-basshead genres while STORM is STORM lol. Any of them are worth trying if you do get the opportunity one day!
Agreed and agreed - Itâs so wild that the small difference between the Crimson and Europaâs tuning makes a big difference to my ears. It also might be the longer nozzle causing a difference as well but Iâm not 100% sure on that.
The Standard Edition should be available (for order, anyway) before the end of the year but the price increase they had to make for the component cost is painful (not that it was cheap to start, but itâs going to up to ~Trailli Tier). I do wish more people could hear it though, or that another company could pull off the sound at a more âpeople can actually have thisâ price. FWIW, I think the Europa (and to an extent with the different FR, Crimson) can get people most of the way there for a more realistic price.
@domq422 That for sure plays a part (just like the Helios SE had to be retuned since the nozzle wasnât a mile long like the OG). I will say that I end up preferring completely different tips on Europa and Crimson.
