These look elegant! not a big fan of brightness as much, but they definitely seem worth a try.
Folks, I think I have some bad news. The left ear piece of my P7s are missing its bass while the right ear piece is still fine. The left ear piece is still emitting sounds but the bass that I get from the P7s usually is just gone, itâs like the sounds of the left earpiece is half a sound, not full anymore. And yes, Iâve tried tip rolling and those fit me well, but right now the left just doesnât sound right for me.
I am going to leave it for like a couple of hours but if that doesnât solve it, I might as well give the return a try and explain my case, for this might be a possible QC issue on my end which I hope is resolvable and not the case of it being a QC issue.
One of the tubes in the nozzle is the bass tube. Can you use a magnifying glass to see if anything is partially clogging the tube?
I am afraid I cannot see anything of it being clogged and this answer is not helping when I couldnât find a magnifying glass in the house. But yeah to no avail I tried poking the tubes as safe as I can but to no avail, this left side is no longer the same as the right side. It has bass still but not as full as the right ear piece.

Put it in a box with silica gel to see if its moisture issue. If it still doesnt work then its dead.
Yup ! Put two bags of silica gel in a jar with the IEMs and let it dry in the sun.
Saved a lot of IEMs with this trick.
sigh yeah the left ear piece will never be the same anymore. The bass impact that I get from it is just gone while the right ear piece remains the same. Luckily though, after conversing with the seller on where I bought the P7 from, theyâll ship the replacement on Feb. 3 which I hope on what they are saying is true. If not, well I am just gonna try the method again to see if it works. But if itâs just long gone, I gotta cut my losses, sell this half like really cheap and my Pula Anvil 114 will have to do more work for me lol.
Makes sense its not now since they are all on Chinese New Year holidays now i believe.
Yeah they have holidays currently and I hope they really do honor the replacement for my P7s since I just bought it like last year, back in September 9, 2024 so itâs still under warranty. But man, this is going to suck if they are just using the holidays as an excuse to not do anything about it but I hope I am proven wrong with that negative assumption, for I cannot trust anything to be guaranteed anymore.
YU9 Audio does make some good stuff, I am still in love with the U-556 for us that are loving the Ety-sound.
Damnn broo that sucksâŚhopefully it does get resolved in time. The timing is unfortunate, cuz they still need people to do the required work for it and during holidays it is hard to find someone willing to come into work. Its good to have negative assumption and be proven wrong rather than it being the other way round thoo. So yea hang in there and hopefully its resolved soon
Yeah, and the P7s were my favorite set last year and even today itâs still my go to one. But itâs really painful to listen to it right now, for itâs like a shell of its former self for I liked it a lot before the issues showed up on the right piece. My Pula Anvil 114 is carrying the load right now on my listening sessions, and luckily this one is also great for the price and a good IEM as well.
Great video dude! If anything, I must say 7hz have been pretty consistent witht their IEMS. Legato and Salnotes zero are absolute bangers to date. Never owned one but I have tried them on several occasions.
I feel you broâŚit sucks to see something not being able to perform up to their true capabilities.
Yeap I have heard some really good things about the Anvil in my circle but never got to try them tho.
The Pula for me is basically an IEM that is on the niche category, certain people will love it and of course certain people will not be a fan of it. The daunting thing about the Anvils in my opinion would be the fit and size of the Anvils, for those are chunky boys. They are really chunky for I cannot damn sleep with these in my ears and I am a side sleeper, so no sleeping with these on me. I have managed to get the Anvils to work well with my ears by using an ear tip that has a shorter stem and a slightly smaller tip size, I mostly go with Medium eartips well, but the Medium-Small tips with the Anvils works like a charm.
Finally what makes the Anvils charming to me would be its weird implementation of its Bone Conductor driver, for this set is actually my first time trying one with such driver, for I have been mostly using IEMs that are either 1DD or Planars, and along with the P7s and Anvils are actually the first IEMs I have tried with multiple drivers and those said drivers really do something, not some cheap ass gaming headset that claims wth multiple drivers improve the sounds, you know what I am talking about. But yeah, the Bone Conductor for me has been a unique experience especially with the Anvilâs overall sound and yes, for me, this IEM is weird but I like it.
Damn you described them well. My friends also had the same concern as you regarding the fit. But i feel they are a solid deal at that range including the BCD.
Yeap youâve just nailed it describing any niche category product.
In my opinion they are, not only that the tuning and technicalities aligns on what I like about it even though the P7s are a bit better in terms of the technicalities and tuning, the various amount of accessories as well such as the additional ear tips which unfortunately did not work well on me, the stock cable which is a good one already and I donât see the point of replacing it with an another one unless I want a cable that matches the color of the Anvils, and finally the case, the damn case is damn big and I think I can fit two IEMs inside of it. I know itâs not leather but it does feels like a leather case.
i seee. yeap the P7 has definitely earned a good reputation in the community. I also agree with you point regarding the cables, I am generally not interested in swapping cables unless like you said you wanna match the asthetics. I buy the IEM for what it is. and the way you describe it the Anvil seems worth considering with that price tag. I am looking forward to give them a try when i meet my friend.
Hope youâll like it or at least respect it. Remember just in case, short stem ear tips are a way to go for a better fit. Not only the fit, that is also the only way for you to fully utilized the bone conductor drivers as well for they require a deeper fit for you to hear.
