Yo @shortbus! I’m gonna be doing a mod on my OG Dark Magician and I was wondering how one would remove the grill from the nozzle without wrecking the grill and if you know of a way to do that. ![]()

Quectel SC200V-WF (Wifi+Bluetooth only) variant
Thank you for the info on the tweezers @Rikudou_Goku ! ![]()
Just one more question though, have you taken off the grill off the OG Dark Magician before in particular?
No i dont have it.
Looks very generic, brother. You don’t have a pair of calipers do you? You could measure them just in case you need some new ones. Also, stop being a mad man and just enjoy your DMs ![]()
yeah looks generic. You either flip it up from the sides or if the hole is small enough and your tweezer is small enough you may be able to penetrate it and lift it up.

Thank you dude, you are a scholar and a gentleman. ![]()
Rat Race, such a funny movie haha
Planar = Square Plate Driver
BA = Moving Iron Driver.
Can anyone enlighten me on what Tinhifi are smoking? I know the audio world has some bullshit and some translation weirdness (Letmusicburn Oppoty everyone) but they use planar and BA in the same description.
Dual-Driver Hybrid
Well that part’s a given.
Seems that they have just messed up the wording a bit
:
Newly-Developed 10*10 Square Planar Driver.
Custom-Developed Balanced Armature Driver Unit.
Seems they have upgraded the old square planar used by Kinera and probably others, and added a BA in a hybrid setup. Kind of interesting ![]()
And I used to be one of those noobs who got suckered in with their KZ ZSN Pro and KZ ZS10 Pro back then, I am glad I way passed those models and yes that includes the GK Kunten. Not a fan of the constant fawning and unrealistic claims about it lately, therefore it’s really frustrating.
Well FUCK. @Rikudou_Goku any suggestions?
I’d just replace them once you’re done inside, they aren’t really meant to be reused.
Yeah, what Guy said. Just do what ya gotta do inside and replace them. I can almost promise those are generic filters like I mentioned before. Should be no problem finding them.
Thank you and @Sonofholhorse ![]()
