IEM discussion thread (Part 2)

I have 100$ presonus eris 3,5bt at work and it is actually amazing how clean and resolving those do sound. I am not a big fan of such statements, but SQ-wise they blow away pretty much every other transducer I have. They suffer from obviously limited usability though

I can’t recommend these or especially the 306p enough especially when they go on sale for $150. Insane sound for that price! :exploding_head:
Just beware they do hiss at close range so don’t get them for like a PC setup better for a TV setup :+1:

What’s funnier is when they are genuinely excited for a product and it comes through. You have to read through layers of crap to get the honestly.

Gracias, i will definitely take a look to narrow down the listen list

Got something a lil’ old, got something a lil’ new:

Shoutout to the legend @nymz for making it happen. My week is gonna be busy…impressions to follow once I break them in (EXT is mine and was on loan, but I need fresh time to put my thoughts down).
There’s an aftermarket cable on the EXT because the stock is 2.5mm and I mostly use 3.5mm.

Crimson is on my list of want to hear, heard it doesn’t have venting which is good so I don’t get sad about not owning it

Definitely no venting, the shell is identical to the Helios SE IIRC; not a particular vacuum monster but if you normally have issues with non-vented shells, for sure try before you buy! I have no issues with it so far and the shape has always been comfy to my ears.

Rip me then, I definitely gotta demo those first to know since non vented IEMs usually cause migraines to me

RIP to the wallets and all sensibilities!

Last year I saw a dude buy a pair of Annihilators right from the vendor on the showroom floor. He was definitely pressured by his buddies. If Subtonic plans on taking orders at CanJam, expect some fools coming back home divorced lol

Gotta treat it like Amateur’s Night at the strip club or casino; only bring cash and leave your cards outside or at home.
