If you want some music on walks with mates.
Rather than carrying a speaker,
Would you hang some open backs and turn it up?

no…I’d get one of those neck headphone / speakers from Bose or Sony. LoL!
It’s expensive, but I think a Chord Mojo has two outputs? I’d probably try something like that and then walk side-by-side each with our own earbuds/headphones!
speaker backpack. some of them actually kick ass.
hhhhh lol
I will make a hole and put my speakers in my backpack. Thank you sir .
Hihihii too much money for a cause xd
i’m dead serious. theres some sub $100 backpacks with speakers in them that are totally good enough for hikes. some even come with pretty big batteries that you could use for easily 8+ hours and are really loud. getting up to the $200 mark theres endless amounts of options and a lot of them come with some pretty nice features like powered coolers for keeping water bottles in.
Neither, maybe I’m old-fashioned in that respect.
For a change, just enjoy the surroundings, whether that’s nature or the city centre, it doesn’t matter.
It’s enough to see how people are now headless with their smartphones.
And let others share part of their conversation.
I find it disturbing, the other day I had such an idiot on the train who had his music in his backpack and let it play.
When I’m alone that may be okay, but please not when I’m with strangers.
You don’t have to make everything public, be it phone calls or music or the like.
And have to disturb others with it.
This is certainly a fashionable phenomenon that was demonstrated by the audio industry, how happy you can be on the barbecue or in the park and was promoted.
Sure, music is great, but you can also just talk to people.
And the profit is usually greater than promoting the industry with it.
just came to me…I think Bose makes really small portable Bluetooth speakers you can hang on your bag with a carbiner. might want to take a look there?
They do and a friend of mine has one. Pretty good for the size. Bose Soundlink micro. About $100usd.

Minirig with their backpack is pretty awesome if you are into that kinda thing.
Good point
Actually minirig small round double speakers might be a good one!! Went out with my audio pros. It’s Okey on city walks on low volume. Or sitting with mates on benches as background or just throw songs at each other.
But idk on hikes xd. It might be too much to hold on to by the top grip.
But again other day I went on a walk down a stream I very much preferred the natural ambience.
Thanks for all the input!
I get your point man. But there is a fun at throwing music among friends out in parks. You get some food put stuff on background or listen to stuff together.
Try it sometime !
I hate digital noise too. It’s gone out of control but I have a love for good sound and good music.
Isolation on iems killed natural ambience on my last walk I did myself had to take them off. Maybe speakers would do the same.
Maybe you’re right about the nature bit !
I already got a audio pro, but that obviously falls borderline between easy to carry hard to carry xd.
But I chose to go with the size that fits my backpack if I want to take it to parties or picnics or BBQ or just get togethers.
Feels like a beast packed in a small box too.
Walked around with holding on the strap too on low volume.
But yea for longer walks might be too distracting and effort to carry on hand strap. I’m gonna try throwing them inside my backpack at some point maybe . Open the zip on the top and see if it ends up like when I put them in the sink for showers .
But yea, I should have mentioned the audio pros on the topic.
Should I throw my audio pros in my backpack
Or
Sundaras on high volume off of portable dac, the leave headphones on my neck
Cause both with have downsides I believe.
Or maybe we all should just enjoy nature
Nono that would kill the ambience and you can’t talk to each other hhh
Quality gotta be shiet tho 🥲
I guess the answer would be those minirgs cylindrical twin speakers. They can be easily hung on two side of rucksack with those keyrings or some DIY!
But I don’t want to spend more money on a second pair of speakers for occasional walks xd.
Unles unless the minirgs outperforms the audio pros.
Which I doubt it will !
