@VIVIDICI_111 Maybe the source used had a slightly high output impedance? That might affect the frequency response and explain why it sounded like it had more bass.
The guy on here that wrote the very first Estrella review said the sound was v-shaped, and with the tape mod it is neutral bright.
As a non-expert even i have heard a million times that the FR graph can be very misleading. So something that graphs as neutral may not actually be neutral sounding.
I would get the pre-production set together with a production set and compare them. Then, if they changed the tuning and face plate you can tell them to remove your name from the iem, recall units shipped, and so on. If the sets are similar or similar enough then it is what it is- suggest tips, dacs, and what have you.
Stay positive man, i know that it feels like a pressure filled time but dont let it eat you or change you. Ya, it is easier said then done but it beats the alternative.
Cheers!
I figured Estrella was on its way since I tracked it to customs release but I guess there was an update later that night. Info says it should clear itself but don’t know.
But to be absolutely fair, the Titans straight out of the box were a bit harsh in the upper mids. After a while of listening, though, they cleaned up a bit. I don’t think the typical 200 hours or whatever is necessary, but a few hours of playing might make a difference.
I’m becoming a little bit of a believer myself, but that’s only because I’ve experienced it first hand.
