For the amount it undercuts Thieaudio Origin, we’re gonna need you to be the hero that tells us which budget(ish) quadbrid to aim for
I like your thinking Goob🤙
Well since any next IEM I buy is gonna be either a quad, a ZE, or something else that’s a bit of a step up, then yeh it’ll be good to know
I have one on my radar, the unreleased ISN iem, with 2dd, 2ba, 2est and 2bc.
Since the 2dd in the H60 is so fucking goated, i plan to buy this as well. At least will put it in my wishlist
5kHz is a real concern in Bajie, I am hyper sensitive at 5-6khz. Let me know if it stands out as much as graph indicates!
Well I’m imagining that 14.2mm DD is doing a lot more work and balancing the brightness more than you’d think.
We’ll have to wait and see
So far so good. I’m using the AZLA clears and it seems to be fine for most songs. There is some extra sharpness to the imaging and some bite to the end notes, but nothing jarring so far. Seems like the 14.2mm DD is doing a good job like @GooberBM said
Sure but a 14.2mm driver will push more bass than a 10mm or 2x8.8mm, and may balance the sound profile better with that treble spike…is my theory, at least
Yes, you are correct.
Kiwi Cadenza with more sub-bass
Gonna have to pay the Thieaudio tax after all, eh?
Quick first impressions:
To answer your question for some it might be worth it for the “actual” ESTs on the Origin since the difference is pretty noticeable, Bajie sounds more PZT like in comparison, it has that bite/hardness like Knowle BAs. A/Bing them back and forth Origin is smoother, but the 14.2mm DD on the Bajie is doing some work, even though the Origin graphs a lot more in the low-end, it doesn’t sound that much more, and texture wise I’d give a slight edge to the Bajie as bass notes feel a little more resolving and goes deeper, but aside from that they’re basically on the same level.
Imaging and separation goes to Bajie it feels more “ODC” and sharper in the transients and cleaner overall, but it’s not as natural, smooth and full vs the Origin. More of a sidegrade I guess
As of now I’m leaning more on the Bajie since it feels more dynamic and engaging overall (and better value)
The 5kHz is such a bummer for me on Bajie. I think it killed the set for me. I’m confident that’s what’s causing the bite & grain you report - can’t have that. No sir, not at these prices.
Origin beastly at high volume?
It is using a piezo after all (that BC is piezo based).
