IO does not miss with the accessories and unboxing sheesh
Jeeeeez, these things are absolutely gasoline, no? The faceplate design is sick.
I can’t click on the link Ohm, but the first thing I thought of was Gasoline by Audioslave. Rock on, brother!
Yep fixed but YouTube has been a bit fucked with their links lately
I see it now! Siiiiick - We’re on the same wave length, brother
Well done for graphing so many tips
Sogno reminds me of the Arcadia from a graph seen the other day and kept in loose visual memory not a true graph sniffing comparison and may be off.
Ya it’s lit
The sound is very safe tho, because you know, Harman and all
@rattlingblanketwoman Ty it took a long time lol🙏
Wasn’t the Arcadia a Meta tuned with bass boost?
I went back to refresh my memory
I guess the shape of the 3k peak was what linked them for me, but Arcadia bass shelf goes higher than the peak, Sogno stays even / a tad below. Sogno rolls off after 8k bump too.
Hahahaha
HBB’s graph is also very different than everyone else’s so that doesn’t help either
^^^ Three different things to enjoy 100% with Estrella…
M@rk… go f… yo…lf…
You sound super emotional over one man’s opinion on something. Move on bro. Not everyone is going to like what you like.
makes me curious about tidal. Is the quality difference noticeable to let say spotify and youtube premium? been reading up stuff and seen ppl recommending amazon music, tidal and qobuz.
I only use Tidal and Spotify. On tidal the sound quality is noticeably better than spotify.
It is noticeably better. CD quality is noticeably better than Spotify. I have resisted streaming for years, but I buy so many CDs each month, it made sense to try it (Qobuz in my case). The quality jump from CD to the higher resolution formats afforded by Qobuz was again quite stark, I’m pissed that I didn’t make the jump sooner.
Alright I will probably trial them after I got a new iem next month. The only thing that kinda stopped me from jumping to tidal or qobuz was that i listen to a lot of kpop which back then wasnt easy to find on tidal even.
I haven’t properly dug around yet but I have only found two albums from one of my favourite artists missing. Fortunately, they’re not an everyday listen and I have my local FLAC library to fall back on.
I believe Tidal is better for this, but I’m not speaking from experience.
I did some testing a few years back, going from Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz. Totally NON-scientific of course but just using my ears and I found that while Qobuz had the overall best sound quality (Detail retrieval, sound stage sounded the least compressed and over all timbre, it sounded the most natural to me) the missing music and lack of ‘create station’ feature was the deal killer for me.
Tidal was good, the UI is nice and it has a ton of music, but the servers are horrible for on the go listening. My music would constantly stop and play due to buffering. I couldn’t stand it…
Amazon Music was just okay, but I found that a lot of the files they were using sounded overly sharpened, very artificial so I skipped.
Spotify is ol’ faithful of course, it has a nice clean and easy to use UI, great servers with next to 0 buffering for tracks and the sound quality would be good enough for the average person, of course. But the lack of a Lossless option is a deal killer for me. There is a distinct difference in sound quality going from a compressed MP3 to a lossless, CD quality file for sure.
Ultimately, I landed on Apple Music. It works across all my devices, has lossless playback with great SQ. Next to 0 buffering (The servers are fantastic as you could imagine) the UI is awesome, easy to use and it’s easy to create and keep track of playlists + it’s one of the least expensive options out there.
For me, it was a no-brainer. Now I’m so deep in the Apple Walled Garden that it’ll be a huge switch to get out if I decide to go with another service.
Choose wisely and invest! For Android uses, Tidal would probably be the best option if you want lossless playback, but Spotify is also a great choice if you can’t hear the difference between MP3 and lossless. Best of luck!
Qobuz sound quality noticeably better than Spotify, even with mediocre headphones and IEMs.
Switching to a high-res streaming service is one of the more efficient upgrades in your chain. I never understood how people could spend thousands on cans, cables, pads, tips, etc., and still listen to Spotify or YouTube. That’s like putting 87 octane pump gas into a new Ferrari.
It’s crazy how much of a difference sound quality can be. If you can, do the trial of tidal and qobuz and then after a couple of hours jump on Spotify and you should notice a huge difference. At least I did.
