Some throw back to the 90’s and beyond.
pretty good debut song for a recent kpop group (케이팝 데뷔 그룹 치고는 참 괜찮은 노래네)
also k-indie/ R&B solo singer who i VERY much enjoy nowadays. Between Sole, Bol4 and Stella Jang i’ve been having trouble deciding on my favorite female korean singer. (내가 요즘 너~무 좋아하는 가수야. 쏠, 볼빨간사춘기, 스텔라장 중에 누가 더 좋아하는지 이해 못 하겠다 ㅜㅜ ㅋㅋ)
Strong debut for this duo, vocally. I’m keeping a keen eye out for their future releases.
I was immediately drawn to her powerful voice. She also has a good range and is a solid performer.
Haven’t listened to these guys for a while… super relatable song (However, I do prefer the English version though).
Pretty noice song thnx for the recc. Altho i can’t help but wish that they let them strong voices go more! Felt restrained
my mom is old school mexican, so she disrespectfully calls them all chinese. even my korean friends. if she sees that orange caramel video tho i can’t really disagree on that one lol
also my sister is a huuuge fan of orange caramel
also i loved that energy song! lol pretty nice. and i recognized that actress! min hyorin. such a fan of her!
energy is toooooo good im buying it asap lol
I’m old school mexican too, people can be dicks towards asians and their culture (but most of the time with a fun intent, not hate). What I love about orange caramel is that they sound more japanese than korean if that makes sense, mighty mouth has better production in newer songs.
how old r u btw? im used to younger people here lol
Im 25, lol. I called myself oldschool because I was grown in a small town with old values, actually I may be new school
Back to the rap
ur def new school lol. my mom’s over 50. alot of those older people tended to be a bit rude toward asians and call them all chinese. because she’s older tho i understand lol. also epik high noice. I actually have their full discog honestly super solid stuff. u got solid taste in music haha. if u havent heard already check this song out for hip hop
leessang is dope af, discovered him(they?) yesterday on this thread, listening to library of the soul album rn, let’s keep the great recommendations coming.
yeah bro super solid stuff. i have their entire discog too lol. honestly their earlier albums are more hiphop oriented and newer ones have more blues but they still keep the similiar sound. also it’s a duo but literally almost all their songs they have features. super old skool hip hop style. also i try to recommend 1 song per day max so that people don’t get overwhelmed so ill post 1 more today lol.
Here’s another artist i found recently, good indie singer! Fun slice of life vibe 또 최근에 찾은 가수~ 치츠님의 음악 더 알아보려고 해 ㅋ
I think it’s the trot-inspired style with pitch-bending and repetitive rhythm. Since Orange Caramel is no longer producing new songs I’m on the lookout for groups that are mixing trot and pop styles. I wouldn’t be surprised if both of these were inspired by Orange Caramel.
Chocome is a subunit of WJSN (aka Cosmic Girls)
Byulzzi debuted with this song earlier this year
The cheeze song was great, mellow but energetic.
@nxtzh the more you know, ty. I did find chocome’s song and video reminiscent of orange caramel, the kick drums make me wanna jump. i liked it better than Byulzzi’s.
Youtube has been suggesting this artist to me, worth, big 80’s vibe on most songs.
Yukika is interesting because she’s a Japanese artist singing pop city type of music in korean lol. She’s interesting to have around for sure
