Well glad you like it lol, seems as if it was worth the wait
If you want more bass impact, getting something like a vesper pad might be something to look into, but I agree that having a dynamic around to compliment is a good idea

Orā¦maybe some EQāing.
Also true, but the better seal can give better impact as well
I put these back in play yesterday and doing it all day today. I LOVE this sound. Of course when I say that I am EQāing the crap out of them.
Going from several days of closed back listening to these was Amazing. Talk about open back - wow.
These are definitely a keeper. I do have occasional noises though. I sometimes have to take one pad and roll it around a bit. It sounds like there is static in the line, but it goes away with some handling/squeezing. Maybe that is in reference to the seal?
It could be the pad shifting around that you hear. Also the driver will pop and crinkle with pressure. And if you hear a whine or squeal, it typically means dust might be in the driver, so try some compressed air (or blow really hard lol) to blow out the dust
or noise from friction as you move your head around Stax are known for making creaking noises when you move your head.
I might consider a subjective3 as upgrade because hereās my take on eq: I donāt want to have it complicated. Like I bet I could use PLENTY of linux utilities to mess with pulse or alsa, but I feel overwhelmed with options and the subjective 3 seems VERY simple to use.
but DEFINITELY not happening anytime soon, these are soooo good for now
Yeah, the schiit loki, subjective3, or the bellari EQ570 are great simple eqās that get the job done
Oh yeah, moving the head Always creates noise. Nature of the beast with skimpy headphones.
Man I wish I would have had enough money to get these when they were on sale for $290.
Very true on the true estat, but I can deff see the treble similarities, I am addicted. I like it for gaming too.
Itās pretty good for gaming imo, pretty accurate imaging
Also I knew it was the one when I listened to enter sandman randomly and heard something that never stood out to me before so prominently that it scared me when wearing them lol. Check it out sometime to see what I mean, I dont want to spoil it too muchā¦
Yeah, the 95x has some dynamic compression that makes more typically hidden detailed fairly apparent (but itās to an acceptable amount, not as squashed sounding as an older mrspeakers for example). That combined with the resolving power is pretty great lol
Hey guys, I am really enjoying these headphones but Iām curious about the energizer, when i put on my Techno or similar style music and i turn up the volume to what I find ābop head to music volumeā the little green power light starts to blink angry red at me. My assumption is that I am pushing the energizer into clipping. has anyone else experienced this?
I can manage to barely control it if I mess w/ the DACās volume then pull back on the energizers volume too and try to keep my pre-amp at under 1 pm. Itās not a big issue but I want to know whats going on.
The energizer could use some more power imo, as that was kinda a complaint that the energizer isnāt powerful enough
How is your HA-300 doing? I noticed thatās got speaker taps too. Pretty much makes it a do all unit i think. Is it also capable of acting as an energizer?
No, I use a woo 3es elite as an energizer
I really donāt think I could give the cayin up now lol
Do you know if the woo audio stax converter is any good? I have a very good speaker amp that could power it so just curious if the 600$ is a good investment in the future.
Iāve tried one briefly, it was pretty good imo. I think itās good if you already have a good speaker amp
